  1. Past hour
  2. Gestede is a shocking appointment, literally no experience or idea what he is doing just feeling it out day by day. He has brought a video game approach to the squad that currently is and will fail miserably. Almost all of these foreign signings look appalling, even the ones lauded as future stars like Morishita and Gudjohnsen look complete duds. Surprise surprise the only ones who look at the level are Abeiosu, McGloughlin, TGH and Miller all who have experience of British football already. Who would have thought (just most of us on here saying it all summer)! I don't rate Ismael but he has a very tough job, his record is terrible to date. The main concern is we don't score anywhere near enough goals to get points on the board. We need a manager who can squeeze every last drop out of these players and make us hard to beat with the ability to nick a goal or two from set pieces/counters. We have a giant striker who could be better used to this affect and Millers long throws which have been ineffective to date. Also Abeiosu likes to throw crosses in. Just play to the 'strengths' we have at the moment and then hope its enough to stay up.
  3. BIG VALS FORTRESS EWOOD P11 W2. D3. L6. Win ratio - 18% In the eleven games before he rocked up our win percentage at home was 45%
  4. We've one of the weakest strike forces in the Championship, which makes us one of the favourites for relegation. Ill be there Tuesday, but it's becoming depressing.
  5. That window went when in the PL. The media coverage massively dropped. As far as the football authorities are concerned Rovers are paying their wages and bills on time, etc meaning they won't do anything. So how can we affect them? Not going then all they do is more cut to the budget? We just have to hope one day that someone will convince them to sell us or someone offered them enough money to sell us.
  6. Totally agree Ian. There seems to be almost a resigned acceptance from the vast majority that we are battling against the tide having tried pretty much everything to influence change. Aside from the occasional organic chant I don't believe anything else will happen which is no slight on anyone who has been involved in protests and the like. I'm not even sure the owners are or have been aware of the unrest last season and purely a personal view but I would think they are happy with the way the club is run. I think they are shielded from any news of unrest by their man on the ground. Personally I doubt whether they actually watch the games and more. It's a real feeling of helplessness but as the owners they can do what they want. It's a sad situation when I was envious of the reports last week that Sheffield Wednesday could be served with a winding up order. For their supporters that could be the light at the end of the tunnel. For us there just seems to be an everlasting purgatory.
  7. Musically it was a brilliant gig, but Al Stewart's voice is long gone (I was never massively keen on it in the first place, a bit monotone for my liking). The Glasgow crowd lapped it up though, as ever.
  8. Wasn’t discussed…but perhaps should have been…😆
  9. Paul Simon - You Can Call Me Al
  10. Al Stewart - Year of the Cat
  11. It's also very hard to make the new wave of fans see what's happening. You can't persuade everyone to agree, but I think most people that go now are satisfied with just going to watch the football regardless of the outcome. Personally I think we've missed our window to push for change en mass amd we are in the hands of the gods
  12. With the side of the blue half being alternated from shirt to shirt?
  13. Today
  14. There are alot of Dolans in the championship we just happened to have our own and I for one was pretty gutted to see him go. When a player gets the ball you want to feel excited like something could happen, only player I get that with now is Alebiosu
  15. The overwhelming emotion I experience these days is resignation to our fate. I can understand fully why so many folks have voted with their feet. It’s really hard to see any positives in a future owned by Venky’s. Loads of fans care but struggle to see how they can influence change. Those that tried are warned off by the club. Only a change of ownership can reignite this club now I fear.
  16. Feels like fans pressure at games has dropped off. We were all in last season. I look at the Wednesday fans voices heard every game. Even had Leicester applauding them at one point we've even stopped chanting. I know Glen and Co are being careful now but what can we do now

  18. Yea if we can't grind out a result Tuesday Saturday we can start packing our bags for league one.
  19. He hasn’t posted since December last year. We can email him on the address we hold if it’s still valid.
  20. No, no, its only because La Liga’s not at the Championship’s level.
  21. Yesterday
  22. A member of this site since year dot, living in the far East. Can we reach out to him, or if anyone is aware of his current situation please let us know Gav
  23. To pass the fit and proper they had to prove good cash flow and agree to cover losses and that was about it i assume.
  24. Look at his overall managerial record in England. You've got to wonder whether he'd have got a job at any other club..
  25. You could almost believe that Venkys “had” to commit to putting in an annual amount of cash for the sale from the Walker family to go through. Since then they’ve spent 15 years selling anyone and everyone in a simple attempt to recoup as much as possible. Thats all they do.
  26. Lad will be having the time of his life...while we fall apart. Rudy at the Wheel.
