Agreed, I'd even go so far as to say that most of that number wouldn't have any awareness of a planned boycott or this letter or indeed the strength of feeling among some parts of the fanbase. For one reason or another there is a large portion of people who go who simply have little to no interest or understanding in what goes on other than from 3pm - 5pm (or 12:30pm-2:30pm these days) every other Saturday at Ewood. It seems to be that they can switch off their Rovers interest for all but a couple of hours a fortnight and even then won't trouble themselves with matters around ownership, management, decisions. Just turn up, sit there, hope we win and shrug shoulders if it goes badly and see you in a fortnight. I'm not criticising that, I envy it, as I sometimes wish that was the extent of my interest in this club and I could put myself in such a bubble and carry on going and enjoying that routine. I can't do that though. But I know from the people I sit near that many of them would react with surprise, amazement, horror or bewilderment if I asked them about a plan to boycott the Watford game. Many wouldn't have heard about it, many wouldn't even entertain the idea as a serious suggestion. Some don't even understand that there's anything wrong with the club because, up to this point, their little routine of visiting Ewood hasn't been seriously affected.

I've assumed the ones i've seen on Twitter fall into one of those categories you've listed above. Missed this, is it available to listen to yet? I saw the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust calling for all Sheff wed fans to refrain from spending any money in the ground at all. Some in the comments suggesting that they should boycott the game entirely.

That's their prerogative,we agree on that. Do they understand why protest does matter though?...we cant carry on like this.

Part of me thinks we should drop the back 3. It worked for 3 games but it's not really working out too well overall. We concede some really, really poor goals and we still aren't scoring enough. Now that Alebiosu is missing, we have no replacement on that right hand side. Hedges might not be back either. I think they have got the targeted boycott game horribly wrong unfortunately. The rearranged Sheffield Wednesday game was the one. A bleak February Tuesday night, only being played because of the club's negligence to invest in the past 15 years. It should have been that game that was targeted with the above point hammered home. A Saturday 3pm game is an incredibly tough sell to boycott as we don't get that many Saturday 3pm's as it is.

Crawley's had more than enough chances and he keeps messing it up. To an extent, I understand he's playing to instruction, but like so much under McCullum & Stokes, it's become the definition of insanity at this point. If this series ends up as a Whitewash, which unfortunately, I can see happening, then McCullum and Stokes and their positions are untenable, just like that of Rob Key IMO.

Its not asking much to Boycott one game,its not just about how we on here would like it..its for the future betterment of all.

I'm not suggesting that it shouldn't be respected, if that's what you're implying. The reality is that some people will attend Ewood no matter what, other people won't. The same as it was at Blackpool and Wednesday. Each to their own, it's a personal decision, whether we agree or not.

That is respected, but Wheelton is just saying how it is actually is with a big chunk of the rump match goers that remain, not how we on here would like it to be.

Its on the LET now. Headline seems a bit of a downplay...collection of fans ask for boycott, rather than all the main supporters group in a combined statement. EDIT: just actually read the article. Its a copy and past of the letter. They dont share any of their own views or give any encouragement or caution.

I'll say again,people need to put the future and wellbeing of the Club they love first rather than there own personal entertainment and pleasure.We are protesting for the right reasons. That should really be respected.

The FA not even trying to hide that they've totally sold the soul of the competition off. It's hard to even keep track of how many different TV stations have bought rights to it scattered across the globe.

Brittain, Hyam, Batth, Travis and Dolan also all started. Now look at the current team and its not comparable. Look at the state of the defence now for a start.

Portsmouth and Oxford have tough away games on Saturday so at least we won't be in the bottom 3 on Christmas day i suppose.
