  1. Past hour
  2. The Premier League as gone forever. The Venkys have dismantled the clubs structure beyond repair.. The end is not in sight for our repulsive owners, unfortunately!
  3. humiliated by the weakest australian team since the mid 80`s,all this 20/20 shite and the daft 100 to blame imo
  4. you can`t score goals if you never move, the laziest footballer i`ve ever seen
  5. And we can still cling on to the fact that we've won it more recently than that mob up the road.
  6. Bring them back home before it gets worse, just admit we're nowhere in the same class as the Aussies.
  7. It also relies on those other teams topping their groups, and then theres a round of 32 which will have plenty of crap in there too. In the past weve been fortunate with results in other groups.
  8. That's our potential route though.
  9. Today
  10. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ce91x2pdelno Rochdale move 2 games to Stanley to put in a new drainage system after postponements. Our groundsman said ours needed doing, nahhhh, non-league clubs ahead of us. Sad state when we are checking weather forecasts (even tonhue in cheek) as a Championship club.
  11. Lets top the group first, before we start worrying about future opponents.
  12. Don’t wish your life away. Next May will only be 98 years since our last FA Cup win.
  13. I hope they’re embarrassed, I know they won’t be.
  14. Its like football. You can have 1 or 2 mavericks you let play however, but you cant have 11 with no accountability. We are so inflexible.
  15. Getting out to shots we don’t need to be having a go at, yet again. Arrogance was about right, tbf. We’re beating ourselves, here.
  16. That is the bar for any backup keeper at this level, with the exception of a few more monied up clubs I have no issue with Pears as a backup, he is almost certainly better than whoever replaces him when he leaves. Where I would have a problem, is if/when Toth is sold, Pears is touted as the new first choice
  17. Over 102 years since we won it. Growing up in the 60's I'd never have believed we wouldn't have won it again by now. Several semi-finals but never that last step. I don't expect to see us win it now nor ever see us in the Premier League again. lIfe's a bitch.
  18. Some people have a very low bar with Pears, and think he's doing well when he just isn't dropping absolute clangers. Which by his standards I guess he is doing well. But I'm pretty sure the lack of clean sheets is due to having to play him instead of Toth. Toth is just a superior goalkeeper to Pears. He was making exceptional saves on a routine basis he had no right to, and Pears isn't doing that. There's also the communication aspect mentioned earlier that may be a factor, and the increased confidence a defence has when they know the man in the sticks is a good un.
  19. We've now got to the stage where we are passing it back to them to get out. Need a Botham esque turnaround here.
  20. And now you're watching Gueye doing the same.
  21. We'll play in the rain We'll play in the raiiiin We're Blackburn Rovers We'll play in the rain
  22. Damn right. The fact I distinctly remember him coming on and doing diddily squat tells me it isn't revisionism.
  23. Water carrier types are needed in this division, Travis for example, especially when your core strength as a team is supposed to be work rate and intensity to make up for not being able to pay for flair. So someone like him has a bit of potential in that respect and he seems to like being here and being involved. Only makes sense if he's cheap though.
  24. Lol, this link popped up on the SW thread this morning..https://www.royalexchange.co.uk/event/singin-in-the-rain/?utm_source=audiencestore&utm_medium=programmatic&utm_campaign=tgm_royalexchangetheatre_singingintherain25_audiencestore_programmatic_pro&dclid=CMDD677XqJEDFdlV9ggd3GMOuA&gad_source=7 Hopefully it is a positive omen. COY soggy Blues!
