Bad times. I wonder if Pears will get the nod every game or if Ismael will put Michalski in every now and again (assuming he's recovered from his Bradford City horror show)

I think this is why. https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/disgrace-valerien-ismael-fumes-bristol-143000704.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAACqKvZdSiVEs67D2E2VXxkt_2FkZzCIBKHO4BPw2qHzNWZlpwM1CDo6ZEFhLD3zFmauj6LSgpQGSPmb0KBENsxBHSdx-yF0sv8npLFJiMHv15IicnAbFC9Oa1W4Vb0LwTeLXaj6-CljvrJmfWvmylRer4huvBL9Db2ICWY7tN8QQ There did seem to be a minor altercation in the technical area but it looked to me like it was Dean Whitehead getting involved with Struber. -

Wonder when Venkys are flying over for Saturdays game. Surely they wouldnt miss such a big anniversary considering how committed they are... -

Agreed. Apologies for that. At the end of the day people will believe what they want. Personally, until I see evidence to the contrary, I'm sticking with the white shirt for the initial games and then at some point in the first two seasons it changed to a form of blue and white. -

History changes as new primary source material comes available Rev. New things about our club's history continually come to light as we discover new primary sources. There is a huge amount of new things I've discovered about our club since that book was published. That is the continual fascination with history. -

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I heard from a friend that Ishmael refused to shake the hand of the Bristol City manager? -
Although obviously bad news I honestly was bracing myself for it being an ACL injury so in some ways it's a bit of a relief. Time for Pears to step up.

Interesting shouts. They might not inspire confidence but, for me, much more than Pears does. I doubt we will see anyone come in and, like others have said, we have just got to hope he grabs what is likely a last chance for him to be a first team goalkeeper at this level before his career is fully consigned to bench warming and training games.

‘Proposed’. No evidence of it. The club didn’t have a ‘badge’ until the 1970s. -

Agreed…he can rightly criticise Steve Dale, Dai Yongge & Chansiri so by comparison, Venky’s look supportive. If they owned Brighton his view would be different.

@Parsonblue has repeatedly posted in this thread with details of the minutes of the formation meeting. Just look higher up this page. We seem to be repeating ourselves in this thread every few pages…🤷♂️ -

Not all of them are, that’s my point (and they are playing in blue and white to boot). So why has it now become accepted history that the Maltese Cross was our first badge, not merely that of some of the schools the players were alumni of? -
From behind the goals I thought I saw him at Bristol on Tuesday.

I was told earlier this week about his appointment but I haven't a clue why there is a delay in announcing it.

I'm assuming Rovers commissioned an author to write the book but retained control over what was in it and what wasn't? There are some "tricky"areas for Pasha and Co from recent times. I can't see them allowing free rein, not in their DNA. -

Why would whoever he appoints not be wanted? I dont recall VI being a universally disliked appointment, just the results up to a week and a half ago… -

Overall I'd agree that Hedges has disappointed but he has played better this season in a role he's more accustomed to. -
Maguire’s major issue is that he tries to spread himself too thin with financial ‘insights’ into all clubs. So it’s all very superficial. ‘The Venky’s put in 20 million s year, great owners’ is as far as the ‘analysis’ goes.

Is there confirmed evidence that the club badge of Blackburn Rovers, not a few Old Malverians that played for it was the Maltese Cross? -
a 10 seems to be his best position, no shortage of teams who play with one If so, he would seem to be behind Cantwell (when fit and until he is sold once they decide that the cannot agree a new contract for him), Morishita & Henriksen in the first team picture at Rovers
