  1. Past hour
  2. It's a loan still technically a Derby player
  3. At least the local sunbed shops will have a beano.
  4. Aye yeah the Bet Victor trader went down a Reddit rabbit hole when compiling the odds to find the link between every single manager….. They just chuck a load of names out there (most copied over from their Leicester book), then trim the price when backed. Coleman moved from 33/1 to 5/2. Likely not much money but I’d assume their book is fairly lob sided with bets on him if that’s the case (not many casuals are taking an interest in this market)
  5. Agreed, which is why I think the club will be looking at a "young, up and coming" Head coach type of appointment. They can't command good wages and will be keen to get a Head Coach role to try and prove their worth.
  6. Rovers were lucky to escape with a draw at Wednesday - how Bannnon missed that chance only he knows. I'm not optimistic we will win tonight. Big test for Damien Johnson
  7. 1st bit agreed. 2nd part Ismael WAS the Owen Coyle/Steve Kean type! In fact his record was probably even worse by the end. We can't afford another
  8. Ah, he must have been on the list as an outgoing not an incoming. Rest of the list looks like it will improve them. Won’t be an easy one tonight if they have new players with a point to prove. Have to hope that ours want to impress any new manager coming in.
  9. You either get a manager who knows nothing of the league, and in turn nothing of Venkys - and hope the billy bullshitters can string them along long enough to keep us up Or they pad their nest, get someone who knows English football. Then we end up with someone who knows how this all works and STILL chooses to be involved.
  10. January's Player of the Month in association with SUITS ME - the official Rovers debit card provider - is BALAZS TOTH... MOTM template.mp4
  11. Probably what Ismael’s agent was trying to do last year.
  12. I can’t take Chris Coleman seriously after that clip in the Sunderland documentary when he’s arguing with a fan…. ”You’re calling me a prick? I’m a married man with six kids!”
  13. We will have the same issue attracting a manager that we have attracting players. Venkys simply won’t pay significant wages. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. All these ‘name’ suggestions are pie in the sky.
  14. I wonder with names like Coleman, whether their agencies just put their names out there so that when they get a league 2 job or a job overseas they're thought of as "someone who was in the mix for a Championship job" and that it's a coup for the club who brings them in.
  15. Was joking about this earlier but it's how owners/those making appointment think. All dreams of a semi high profile manager coming in will not happen.
  16. Brighton my local team. He was awful. Hughton came in after and was successful though. Tony Bloom backs his managers!
  17. Portsmouth v Ipswich tonight postponed - waterlogged pitch ! 😄
  18. Pointing out the obvious but the chances of us landing on our feet again with a Eustace or JDT feel slim to none with just Pasha and Rudy at the wheel. Dream scenario is Johnson does enough to hold onto it, we stay up, then there are huge changes at the club in the summer - either Venky's or at the vert least, Pasha bugger off. Then I woke up.
  19. He's at a club bankrolled by Tony Bloom, them or this clown show, tough choice!
  20. Today
  21. this, both too good for us tho
  22. "you've got a wee gem there" is a quote that should never be forgotten when assessing Nixons' opinions on football.
  23. Coleman would probably be the final straw breaking the camels back for this club and ownership.
  24. It won't be Chris Coleman.... It just can't be 😂 The Leicester and Rovers links are surely just an agent trying his best. I'm taking no notice of the odds. Eustace aside (which was clearly already done), we've never appointed an early favourite. Coyle, TM, JDT and VI all were obscure or real outsiders when the conversations started (I think)
  25. Dear god no! Here's a Brighton fan view https://www.wearebrighton.com/newsopinion/what-went-wrong-for-brighton-and-sami-hyypia/ Quote from the article "And that kind of sums up Hyypia’s Reign of Terror. Bad recruitment. Tactics ill-suited to the Championship. Stubbornness to the point of delusion." Sounds like a Scandi version of VI
