  1. Past hour
  2. Who the fuck are Derby Rovers? If the season carries on as shit as it's started then the only entertainment we've got to look forward to is you tying yourself in knots to justify your pathetic support for anything and everything the club does, regardless of what their actions will yield.
  3. The ambition is to bob around in mid-table Championship obscurity for the lowest possible cost.
  4. I don’t understand why we are spending money, even £2m on players if our ambition as a club is to not stay up- some clubs don’t spend anything and we do- it is a bit baffling- we buy these random players, are they on low wages? Do we have a strategy as a club?
  5. No doubt Ossydave will clarify in due course but Im interested he said "stands" (plural) If that's the case presumably they'll have to do something?
  6. It is perhaps a tad disingenuous, as Mr RTMO8 suggests, but then again, football is a horrible business, full stop. As much as we may feel aggrieved that Adam has matured into his status as a football hot property, it has taken place under Palace's roof, and we never had an icecube in hell's chance of enabling him to develop to the level he has reached, due in spades to the incompetent, short-sighted, non-football savvy and genuinely disinterested in anything that is in the best long term interests of Blackburn Rovers ownership and management arrangements at the club. Palace are just fortunate to have had decent business people who are passionate about football holding the reins for the past 20 years plus, whilst we have been hamstrung by bewlidered, befuddled, remote, retarded owners who know about as much about football as Donald Trump knows about diplomacy and discretion. They didn't steal Adam Wharton - we THEY gave him away cheap.
  7. I dont because we've replaced the Coventrio with Pasha/Gestede and Ismael. Like replacing cholera with typhoid. We did reasonably well under JDT and JE though despite the regime wouldnt you say?
  8. This one is relatively local to me so if I can get one I'll try and grab some tickets. We really, really need to make the most of this international break - the games are going to start coming thick and fast and if we don't step it up we could find ourselves adrift very quickly. I'd like to see the team from the second half on Saturday but with Gudjohnsen ready to come on and shake things up. I'll try and be optimistic and say Watford 1-1 Rovers.
  9. Very confident he will never get to run past Alebiosu
  10. Prepare for the narrative that the fire brigade are all snakes and out to get Rovers because they've closed down the stand. Couldn't be venkys fault, they never refuse to sign a cheque.
  11. 100%... I think the change works as a bit of a distraction...until excitement over the new signings turns into grim realisation..
  12. Such a passive way to admit blame. Their issues fall far below employing those 3. The first 2 were flawed brought as much as good as bad, especially Mowbray, and surely after Suhail's influence has come to light, Waggott was an issue but clearly never THE ISSUE over here. I expect us to thrive though now without those 3 at the club.
  13. Eh? We were willing to force him out to anyone willing to take him even when he didn't want to, and he's been playing (when fit) regular PL football and won a major trophy. This is entirely on our owners and no one else.
  14. Cheers. Roughly what I thought off the top of my head without totting it up. Without wanting to give them any credit, the gross amount spent is better than many feared but it counts for nothing if the ones coming in are no good and nil net spends are probably only going to send us in one direction in the long run.
  15. But in the context of all the Raya, Wharton, Szmodics money....
  16. If we have managed to get 1m plus for Leonard I am happy with that. Really hope we are not done yet. I would like to get Cadamerteri as new young striker, even if we loan him back to develop as a starter at Wednesday. I really want an experienced back-up English keeper, though this may be something they look at on a free after the window closes and players might accept less. Finally, I would like a top tier loan as well if that's a thing we can rustle up anymore, ideally a winger I think.
  17. It's fucking absurd they can steal him from us for £16m, do absolutely nothing to develop him, then ask for £150m 18 months later. Horrible club, I hope they get relegated.
  18. No contact from what I saw. Perhaps a calf injury?
  19. In that instance - Yes. Because they didn't appoint a decent DOF to support JDT. Just as they allowed Mowbray to trundle on for ages burning money and wages on the Road to Nowhere and employed Waggott for years to run the Club into the ground. Buck ultimately stops with the owners.
  20. Well, I do agree you have to give them time -that is just logical. And when people come on and say 'well, what else can you do, given the budget', you can't really argue with that either. But people are still going to get angry. All very frustrating.
  21. Just a guess but most likely it’s the truth
  22. Watching that makes me think they see him as a wide mid.
  23. And the wage bill suitably obliterated.
  24. Was it an impact injury or a pull up. I just saw him go down
