  1. Past hour
  2. At least the club have now finally admitted the contract offers weren't great for those players. I'd have to watch it again but the interview with BBC Lancs sport he said there was a payrise on offer for Brittain but Travis and Hyam were just offered a 1 year extension to their current terms. So no real effort made to keep our club captain, or our CB who played every minute of last season.
  3. Hedges has been rubbish in previous seasons, but this season he has upped his game. I doubt he will ever be a good forward, but if he uses his abilities he may make a decent championship player, slightly deeper.
  4. I don't know, as a similar languid style and likes to play one touch. Very reminiscent to Nzonzi for me stylistically. Just unfortunately he keeps losing the ball and missing tackles. That said, as others have mentioned, it does seem to be a pace of the game thing. Could improve over time. But I wouldn't have started him today, and wouldn't start him next week.
  5. It depends who and where you are playing
  6. Exactly, apart from maybe size he bears no comparison to Nzonzi football wise.
  7. I think both Birmingham and Wrexham will have expected better starts than what they've had. Birmingham in particular will have had an eye promotion, don't think they'll leave it much longer if results don't pick up. Neither will be getting sacked just yet, as both have a lot of credit in the bank but one to keep an eye on for sure. Sheff Utd can only be a couple of losses away at best, before they bin Selles.
  8. It obviously means nothing but our 3 best rated players on the new FIFA are Tronstad, Cantwell and Hedges in that order
  9. Suspect Birmingham and Wrexham will give them both time. Sheff United on the other hand, I don't think anyone would be surprised if Selles was given the boot this week.
  10. Today
  11. Windass and Broadhead aren't going to start if their 2 other signings started the games liketoday he has made a good start. we see other a season if he is better player or now
  12. given the amount of new players both Birmingham and Wrexham need to allow time to settle their new players in Sheffield United owners are too blame for sacking Wilder but also for signings
  13. Woah, let's not rewrite history, he definitely didn't!
  14. Think I must have been watching a different game
  15. Didn’t watch today due to family commitments but pleasing to read Gudjohnsen did well especially. Also Wharton doing so well and ultimately getting the full game under his belt. He’s now an experienced centre half as he said in his interview it just so worrying that every game we must pray him and Carter don’t get injured. Both players are certainly due some good luck injury wise, is it all luck though or do they need Paul McGrath style training regimes 🤨 Really worrying Tronny came off at his request although VI played it down, he’s so crucial to us and it’s hurting he won’t be here much longer. Tavares worries me although we can only hope he’s a slow burner and adapting still.
  16. Parkinson is the weak link now for them, proven to be a bad manager in this league. I expect the Americans will figure that out fairly quickly and they'll end up up there
  17. How long before Sheff Utd, Wrexham and Birmingham all change their managers? All 3 performing way below expectations, surely?
  18. One outstanding cross field pass (straight onto the foot of the on running Alebiosu) aside, he brought nothing to the game. Corry Evans MK2: 5 yard passes, no tackles, jogs about a bit.
  19. I don't think Taveres and Tronstad work very well as a pairing, as they're both defensive midfielders. Assume Hickman, and later Baradji, were brought in to break up the pairing but you'd be putting Tronstad in ahead of Taveres as it stands right now.
  20. The Members - The Sound Of The Suburbs
  21. He couldn't tie Buckleys shoe laces. He is a massive downgrade so far. He may improve as he gets used to this league - he bloody well needs to and quickly
  22. Nice to get the three points, shortly after the game ended my cat died unexpectedly in my arms so thats taken the wind out of my sails for what should have been a good day.
  23. I think Tavares will be able to play his way up to speed. He has clearly got something... Nzonzi took a while lol
  24. Wow, not just the win but the performance. Tavaeres is a hell.of a player but his pass success percentage is dire. Needs a lot of work. That's my only negative. Wharton and Carter were immense. This week the subs worked really well including the switch to 3 at the back. The discipline with which we saw out the past ten minutes of playing time was something we haven't seen in a very long time. And yes Gudjonsson looks the real deal. What a lovely goal too
  25. Not sure if it's a good thing or not, but 5 out of the next 7 games are at home
  26. Hes started really encouragingly and I really like the look of him. But Brittain was an absolute stand out for all of last season. No way is he an upgrade. Nor is that a criticism of him 5 games in.
