  1. Past hour
  2. Tbf I didnt think he was that great when he was here, (probably gained a new lease of life from being out of this madhouse) BUT I think everyone was unanimous in thinking it was madness to release him at that stage of the window without any replacement.
  3. Filing for Admin at Sheffield Wednesday. Like many football clubs, it has been trading at a significant loss for many years, with those losses historically funded by the owner. Mr Chansiri is no longer willing to provide that financial support. "While the recent fan boycott has not directly caused the insolvency, it has increased financial pressure on the club. As a result, the owner has chosen to place the club into administration.
  4. I can only imagine that's been written by someone very young who hasn't witnessed a relegation battle or the early warning signs.
  5. Damn shame it got to that point. As I said in another thread these historic teams ought to be protected and bought by owners that have proven love for the club. It's like buying a historic cricket team in India and ruining the history
  6. Interesting stat on Sky Sports News : Derby were the last Champonship club to go into administration in 2021 .. They are above us now ! Bring it on here !
  7. I'm sure the Wednesday fans will have a party at Hillsborough tomorrow regardless of the result and league position. I can only dream of the party we'll be able to have if the Vs ever leave.
  8. I think he has borrowings on that (Separate Limited Company), so with a bit of luck, the Mortgage provider will repossess it and sell that to the administrators, assuming it is in default, which from memory it is
  9. Really? The worst of both worlds for Weds fans, you've gotta feel for them. We know only too well about poor ownership.
  10. Apparently Chansiri owns the ground which isn't subject to administration so it will be difficult to get rid of him according to Nixon. Unfortunately for Wednesday fans this might not be the end for them .
  11. I think our only hope, is that somehow the pressure from WATR the coalition and the other groups makes them cave. How crazy is it that us fans, want us to enter administration, so desperate are we to get rid of these parasites.
  12. Never mind Pasha, some of the fans as well!

  14. Agree with both of you. Short term pain for Wedneday fans but a real chance to move forward without Chansiri. We'll be relegated and still have Venky's. Absolute torture.
  15. The only club below us in the table are a club in administration.
  16. The school was built on the site of were the pitch would have been after Rovers left for Ewood...pretty sure of that
  17. Today
  18. He should get a data job down Brockhall, they all work to that metric.
  19. Wow...just wow. If this is the jangled thought process of some of our fans then we are truly finished.
  20. If we finish 21st this season without needing to sack Ismael or spend much in January then Pasha and Gestede will be doing cartwheels around the corridors of Ewood. Their 'plan' will have paid off big time - major cost cuts, Championship survival and vindication. Another year on the gravy train and with Cantwell, Tronstad and another couple to flog in the summer - like Gueye to the UAE for a million or two - on it goes. I very much doubt that they will have bust a gut to get us into the top 6 last January - just not interested - it makes no material benefit to them. This is the measure of where we are - survive in the Championship and this lot are happy because it secures their positions.
  21. Us, Sheff Utd and Southampton are bottom three for underperforming our 'xG' Mid week saw Sheff Utd potentially start turning their fortune around - unfortunately we were the dummies on the other end. What happens Saturday..
  22. Yes and regardless of the division they are playing in their fans will be going into games optimistic, feeling that whatever result they get, everyone at the club is at least pulling in the right direction. They're a historic club with a good fan base, they'll be getting at least 20,000 every week in league one, probably 30,000 if they're playing well and they'll eventually back in this division. While we'll be rattling round in front of smaller and smaller crowds, fed up.
  23. "No-OnE KnEw HoW ImPoRtAnT HyAm WaS tO tHe TeAm" I'm sure Pasha would come out with some crap like that.
  24. It's a strange paradox I'm feeling about the news that Sheffield Wednesday will almost certainly be consigned to relegation if they are deducted 10 points. Whilst they will take up a relegation spot (it's likely one less to worry about for us) it moves them closer I believe to getting rid of their awful owner yet we are stuck with ours with no sign of anything like that happening to us. In a strange way it takes the pressure off the whole club unlike us where our purgatory seems eternal. Football fans and clubs deserve far better.
