  1. Past hour
  2. It's always a good feeling to beat that lot and today was no exception. We started quite slowly and could have conceded in the first minute as Eze sloppily let a high ball bounce and just about recovered to get a challenge in with the help of some assistance from the keeper. However once we got a foothold in the game we were dominant and could easily have won by more although Burnley did miss a couple or dolly's. It was good to see Harvey Higgins looking fit and healthy. He showed some neat touches when he came on and was only denied a scoring return by a good save from the Burnley keeper who was outstanding. It was good to see our youngsters seemed to have an understanding of our disdain for that lot - no doubt aided and abetted by the locally born lads.
  3. I wouldnt have wasted my time explaining the above, Chaddy's always first on the ball with any Rovers related news but if something occurs which seems to paint the Club in a bad light beyond reasonable doubt he pleads ignorance and claims to be unaware as to what has gone on.
  4. Worth having a read of this Chaddy, if you don’t know what’s been happening. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/25503720.lancashire-telegraph-clarifies-claims-blackburn-rovers/
  5. Jackson is still covering Rovers, he is just banned from Ewood and has no access to the players or manager. They tried to get clubs from banning him from away games too. So far Charlton refused to do so and the club aren’t happy about that either, making some accusations about his club conduct on that too. It seems the club aren’t happy with him reporting certain things and for speaking to players without the clubs permission. There is also accusations being made about him leaking team news. There is an article online, with the LT refuting most of this, so effectively accusing the club of lying. Worth having a look, as it does make interesting reading and in my view backs up the accusations of bullying going on at the club.
  6. Whilst disrupting the preparation for a bit game by dismantling a process that has been used for years, not just by Rovers. There was also inconvenience to the Brockhall staff who had to stay behind to accommodate Ismaels vanity. Next week is an international break - surely be would have been better off celebrating then when there are no games to prepare for. If you think it is acceptable that is your right - I can tell you that a fair number of staff thought it was selfish.
  7. I've promised myself a takeaway on the way home to motivate myself to actually go on rather than watch from the sofa 🙂
  8. Like I said on Saturday, I still don't know what the LT or Elliott Jackson have done wrong for Rovers to ban them, still the none the wiser now what Rovers are so angry about. But this issue need resolving now and get Jackson and LT back covering games.
  9. One of my all timers... Gillian Welch - Elvis Presley Blues
  10. after this international break last Ismael said something on it
  11. Have the club said anything about Baradji's injury and how close to actually playing he is?
  12. Well, as I have said before, life in the Championship is when all is looking lost suddenly out of nowhere you pull out a great performance. And inversely you begin to get a bit of hope and it kicks you in the nuts. We've had a few of each already this season. Anyone who tries to predict anything (hello Merce!) is a hostage to total fortune. I'll watch tonight expecting the worst, but knowing there is a decent chance I will be surprised again. I guess that's the addiction of football. The championship is a particularly virulent concoction of the unpredictable.
  13. Think it was over £500,000 in the last twelve months. Still listed at Companies House as CEO.
  14. £400,000+, per year.
  15. I'm getting fed up with this now. The EFL have made the correct decision. You and others at Rovers might not like it given the circumstances, but that's how it is. It would be utterly ridiculous for them to let the result stand with probably 15 minutes+ left to play and even more ridiculous for them to have just played the last 10 minutes or so starting with Rovers being 1-0 up against 10 men. There is no precedent for it in English football history and for good reason - it wouldn't work and would open the floodgates to all sorts of shenanigans in future when there are issues with the weather, floodlights etc. If you are angry about it I suggest you spend less time worrying about the EFLs difficult but ultimately correct decision and more of your time working out whether Rovers have invested sufficiently in their facilities to ensure the pitch is in the best possible condition to ensure this sort of thing doesn't happen. I can safely say that Rovers could have done more, it isn't just the weather or the River Darwen, just as we had no issues with drainage getting games abandoned from 1992 - 2012.
  16. Today
  17. So from the above comment I take it you think the Club aren't at fault?
  18. Well only to the extent that a CEO is held responsible for anything that goes on at any Company. The owners must have agreed to those deals in the first place then they all fell through due to either different instances of negligence (if you believe that) or deliberate sabotage.
  19. The club has the issue. Elliott doesn't need to resolve anything that would undermine his journalistic integrity.
  20. Is there a reason why those failed transfers have been put specifically and solely onto him?
  21. The decision is not the point. I never said it was the right decision either. But we need to get over it now, its been and gone, weve played a game since where we got battered in. Doesnt need a mention.
  22. Maybe not quite to the same extent but that has echoes of Rooney at Plymouth allegedly skipping training sessions so he could fulfill media engagements with Colleen.
  23. Andy Cole says Hi. As do Nathan Brierley, Lewis O Brien, Duncan Mcguire, Uncle Tom Cobley and all.
