  1. Past hour
  2. Easily avoided though. Simply----- don't try to cheat the tax authorities
  3. I read that as Judge Judy for a second, I thought you had a secret to tell us 😉
  4. The judge has just said "Right you bastards. Sell Blackburn Rovers, sack the imbeciles who run it, apologise to the fans of that club and be damned in hell for the suffering you have caused". If only Carlsberg did Indian courts.
  5. Strich has looked ok in patches, and is still a teenager, so that one I can understand, low cost, low risk. Wood though is 21 before next season kicks off, and had 3 very unimpressive loan spells this season (all at pretty low levels), has always looked like he could nick a goal at U21 level, but seems miles off it in men's football, reminds me of Joe Nuttall in that regard (not in style)
  6. Today
  7. Telling the judge to end his investigation and make a decision, been going on since 2023 etc. ’guarantee is unfair and onerous’ hearing just concluded - didn’t quite catch end bit but I think judge suggested reducing guarantee to 50% and then set a new date to give advocates time to take instructions. Maybe Waggott doesn’t think the guarantee is an impediment but the words and emotion the Venky’s advocate just used make it plain that they do.
  8. Had a look at a Leyton Orient forum. ‘Decent feet, pushed off the ball a bit easy’… not sure he’s found League 1 all that comfortable either.
  9. Case currently being heard - Rovers being discussed: guarantees currently at £25ish million (I think I did the currency conversion correctly) everything the Venkys advocate is saying sounds like there’s an impediment to sending monies… ‘We need to send money…salaries to pay…etc etc’ They want need for guarantee removing.
  10. I'm surprised that Harrison Wood and Zac Stritch have had their extra year triggered particularly Wood. I understand both will be earning a pittance but neither have shown to me that they are anywhere near good enough.t It's another example of the low hanging fruit that Gestede likes to pick.
  11. 2 flaws in that reasoning Sales do not impact the transfer budget - the other (more recent) Gestede interview/podcast Our 3 year projects never last more than 18 months 😉
  12. Don't forget we need to sell to fund our transfer budget (Gestede interview). Probably around 3 to be sold, just a case of which 3. Hedges may be one.Brittain and Pickering ? The most likely scenario is 1 first team player per position with an U21 as backup (pathways). This is only the first season of a 3 year project to maybe challenge again in 3 years (Gestede interview). Priority is self sustainability (purgatory) with the owners putting no more funds in. Well they can't, even if they wanted to.
  13. It said in black and white, in the retained list article ‘7 goals in 121 appearances. Shouldn’t be enough to trigger anything but the exit door tbh.
  14. The Bee Gees - How Deep Is Your Love
  15. Hedges is a fine enough squad player probably on a low wage. We will be wanting warm bodies by the time opening day comes.
  16. When you look at the list of pros retained it's a really poor squad.
  17. Yesterday
  18. But Damien was already an established Premier League player. He also had experience in European competition and was a full international before he ever went to Chelsea...
  19. Lot of talk about Hedges, I'll sum it up for you... He's a "it'll do" type signing for the club. Wages, versatility, professionalism... Has he got the quality to help improve our league position? No. Do the club care about that either? No. An uninspiring player, for an uninspiring club.
  20. That's not a vindication of a player. Jason Lowe was picked by several consecutive managers, and he was dogshit. Then when he left he fairly promptly sank down to League Two. Not before getting his third relegation by age 27. Sometimes managers are wrong.
  21. The Smiths - How Soon Is Now?
  22. Scotland or League Two. Probably the former.
  23. Hard to say. It could also mean they plan to get another player in that area. I don't expect much this summer though, we are obviously brassic. That said the directors have made a rod for their own back by saying the budget is similar to last summer, and by also saying incoming transfer funds don't affect the budget, made it clear what we spent last summer wasn't boosted by the Raya, Gally money etc. So in theory we should be able to spend about 3 million in fees I think it was? Which aye is still shit, but enough to recruit a few positions at a better standard than Markanday.
