He is, but that balls always going to the far post. Gueye is always going to be the target. Players often purposely stand offside initially but has Gueye stayed onside, Ohashi would have been hoping for the ball to come across.

I would venture to suggest that the manager of Spurs knows a great deal more about the qualities of his players than good 'ol Chaddy.

I do think Mengi would be good signing, young player and knows the league. Also depending on the fee its another one where he comes here, does well and we sign him on. Whilst we may well look for a centre back, if Luton want their money back on Mengi (or more), then he will be well outside of our price range, as are most things that are worth more than a half eaten mars bar these days 😉

My "grasping at straws" hope is that the public scrutiny after the abandoned games circus has knocked his credibility "this week". Coupled with Pickering being played, Gueye being dropped, Tavares not coming on and VI actually mentioning telephone contact (though without context or timeline) my Christmas hope is that we might see Pasha recede to the shadows for a while and maybe even a football related patsy (sorry CEO) installed which tends to lead to better short term decisions for about 10 months (or longer if the head coach is sufficiently mediocre to never threaten the playoffs)

I suspect the main reason that Brennan Johnson and Richarlison arent in the team more is that neither are particularly good.
