  1. Past hour
  2. Questioning whether concerned fans are actually supporters, exaggerating what people are saying (-100 points) and telling them not to be negative. Ticked all the boxes there.
  3. Gueye’s stats in Belgium league V the new signings stats in the Belgium league.
  4. Remember reading last summer that Gestede has contacts in a few teams in Belgium & France (and apparently now also Saudi Arabia, which was mentioned by Elliott Jackson in one of his articles about Buckley being sold) From what I can work out, the Eastern European ones are more likely to be the works of Adam Owen & Sadowski
  5. Match day Four summarised Read the full article on the front page and let us know your thoughts.
  6. Chris Clark - From Head To Toe
  7. You would blame Ismael for contracts not being sorted earlier? For players wanting to get more money elsewhere?
  8. If he’d bagged 15 goals last season he wouldn’t be signing for us (take a look at what Ipswich have just spent on a new signing from the same league). Young players can have a bad season, it happens. He may not have settled in Belgium. There could be many reasons why it’s not worked out for him. I mentioned Woldemate previously. He was released by Bremen on a free after one bad season, a year later and he’s going for silly money. We just don’t know how the new lad will get on but it’s an exciting signing with potential. It’s another decent length contract so let’s hope he performs. The window has been interesting. Some good and some bad so far. Our current run of 1 win in 5 is a massive concern and needs to be turned around quickly. I have a horrible feeling we’ll come to regret signing an injured CM. Personally think we needed a proper replacement for Travis. Just hoping that there is some interest in Browne, he’d be perfect.
  9. Rovers have some new tie-up with Belgian football? Yet another. Not necessarily a bad thing but just wondering who is doing the scouting.
  10. Szmodics came good because he had something about him and also due to good coaching by a top manager.
  11. I still feel we are light in several positions, centre half, out wide, central midfield and absolutely another striker needed. Can't see us getting those in though and yes I share people's concerns about VI.
  12. Remember it’s 3 losses in 4… Ismael doesn’t count the cup games
  13. If he isn’t an improvement on what we have then we might be cursed.
  14. What's it matter if we sign him or not. If he gets 20 goals this season then he'll only be sold to the highest bidder in the summer
  15. Has the look of Jon Stead in his play.
  16. Yeah I get what you get for Coyle so Transfermarkt has it wrong.
  17. We’re showing all the classic signs of a team destined for relegation - not winning our easy home games, playing well and losing, missing good chances, performances littered with individual errors, naive players with no aggression. The managers comments are also concerning - he said the 1st half was ‘50/50’ and we gave a good performance - Norwich had 8 shots on goal and should have been 2-0 up before the penalty. These are Steve Kean and Owen Coyle levels of delusion from a manager whose win percentage at Rovers is identical to theirs.
  18. With the number of chances we create he is going to have be very clinical
  19. My own stats admittedly but Coyle definitely had 29 points from 31 games before he was sacked. Last Championship game he had was vs. Sheffield Wednesday (a) 14/2/17 My table obviously doesn't award points for cup wins!
  20. Let’s hope Ismael can pad his record out by beating shit sides in the cups. Oh wait.. Transfermrkt has Owen Coyle at 1.11 ppg at Rovers and Ismael at 1.06
  21. (The following is just 'on paper', never seen him play, obviously giving him a chance) If we see Gudjohnsen as basically a Leonard replacement, I don't mind that, it's probably an upgrade there. But since he allegedly costs double what we are getting for Leonard (if we even complete the Leonard sale), I don't think that's the case. And furthermore, I'd much rather be replacing our third choice striker with a clear first choice striker, as we aren't getting enough out of the other two (I'm happy with Ohashi as second choice and competition for first choice, but I haven't seen enough to think he will bag 15+ goals to push us on). Maybe this lad is actually the bee's knees, and the stats are more encouraging than one or two of the strikers we've been linked with. But as somebody pointed out, in the Belgian top flight last season he scored just under half as many as Gueye did in his last season there, and Gueye isn't exactly banging them in for fun. We will see, and hope.
  22. I agree with most of this, but a lot of questions remain. Aside from our transfer business and losing many of our better players, VI will need to buck the trend from his previous positions and significantly improve his win rate %.
  23. As a keen statistician myself I am seeing some wrong information being shown. A lot of the Coyle v Ismael stats is like comparing apples to pears. League games only show their own details. Coyle had 7 wins in 31. Ismael has 5 in 17. Also key to note with Coyle’s overall record is cup wins, of which he had 4 of his 11 wins in cup competitions (beating Crewe, Mansfield, Blackpool and QPR)
