They're only banned from Ewood Park and other Rovers' owned property. Fortunately Rovers can't do anything to make other clubs ban journalists from their grounds, although it seems they've tried. I'd rather they spent their free time making an effort for our 150th anniversary or dealing with contract renewals than ringing up rival clubs begging them to ban Elliott Jackson from their grounds

Dismal, gutless, embarassing display today. Deserved to be well beaten by a poor side. I think if we are close to a full bill of health, we can win points especially if we score first and grind it out. But if we need a spark or if we have any injuries, you peel back the squad slightly and thats when you really worry. Take defence as the obvious example. Because Carter is made of glass, our only option is to play a right back at centre back, can see he hasnt played central in a back 4 before. So when our right back gets injured, you then have a second player out of position. 2 injuries in the squad (one to one that is forever injured) and look how makeshift we become. Midfield is a big issue. Many swallowed the propaganda, Travis is easily replacable and isnt that good etc. Tavares is a waster, constant square balls and unforced losses of possesion. A loanee in TGH who really struggled in both positions but will likely be needed more at right back. And a third signing who isnt fit for ages. And look in attack. Need a goal and we turn to absolute wasters in Kargbo and Gueye. Hedges tricks people every season with his 1 early season goal and a couple of half decent performances. We also have signed 2 attackers in De Neve and Henriksson who the manager wont even bring on, he would rather not make all of his subs. The aim this summer seemingly was to build a quick and athletic team. Why did we not sign players with those qualities then, we look lethargic and sluggish.

Not convinced by Ismael, but then again it doesn't matter who's in the dugout. Even when the club accidentally unearths a diamond in the rough, they eventually grow weary of the club's self-defeating business model and piss off to pastures new.

The million dollar question will always remain: WHY do they hold onto us? It's honestly unfathomable. Most dodgy foreign owners have a short shelf-life, but incredibly Venky's have held the club longer than Uncle Jack. They don't attend matches, they're not invested in the club's fortunes, so what's the point? Even if we were a footnote in their monthly agenda, it doesn't make sense to keep an asset that constantly needs servicing and brings no financial benefit UNLESS it was being used for unscrupulous means.

This is exactly what happens when you have no competent carefully appointed leadership (with football results in mind).

I think we'll be alright, and they'll be three teams crappier than us come the end of the season. But would I put money on that? Ummm...

Id say we were that last season. However blessed with an excellent manager who managed to turn muddy water into a palatable house wine. This season .........God only knows.

The reality is we don't even have enough leadership to even attempt to fix or improve our drainage. Structurally off the field the club is arguably in the worst position it's been in since Venky's took over. There is no one with the clubs best interests at heart, who knows what they're doing, in any position of power .... typically that leads to relegation.

Had to stop reading this thread due to the ridiculous propaganda supporting Gestedes exciting summer. What a shambles of a transfer window. Replaced Travis with Tavares? Hyam not replaced. It's been an absolute disaster.

It's scandalous that an ex-player who went on protest to secure a move elsewhere is now part of our executive team. A sign of the times when it comes to this farce of a football club.

We are lacking two things needed to avoid relegation at the moment - quality and luck.

We're a bog-standard Championship side. A good run and we're in with a playoff shout (before it's internally sabotaged). A few bad results and we're in a relegation battle.

Probably why he never made a name for himself....... at any of his former clubs........🤔💡
