  1. Past hour
  2. We were gifted the game and looked very poor for long stretches. Three points though.
  3. For all the talk of the squad overhaul in the summer, it's once again the academy that comes to the fore. Pratt and Litherland were excellent, Atcheson also had a good game when he came on. Cantwell, Tronstad, Ohashi all excellent also.
  4. A decent battling performance from Rovers, I thought Pratt had another good game. Some fantastic touches from Cantwell. Gudjohnsen, and Ohashi on the scoresheet, and a home win at last, Merry Christmas Rovers.
  5. Very important and deserved result in a comfortable and poor quality game against a goalkeeper who seemed keen to help us out. Thought the senior players were key today. Tronstad is so important, Cantwell too, and although I have been critical of him and dont rate him too highly, I thought that Miller had his best game for us. Pickering also was decent coming back. Out of the academy lads, I may be in a minority but I though that Pratt was the stand out, dealt with everything comfortably and is built to be a defender. Litherland can be proud of himself although I think after an eye catching 10-15 minutes, you could tell at times that he wasnt playing in his natural position.
  6. O'Riordan left out of the Doncaster squad today signalling his likely return they will each be like a new signing πŸ˜‰
  7. β€œI’ll take the positives from this game β€œ Home win Home win against 4th placed team Blooded three youngsters after discovering we have a stellar academy Stalwarts Tromdstad, and Cantwell back pulling the strings No goals let in Baradji beginning to β€œopen his legs and show his class.” Three valuable and seemingly unlikely points at the start. That will do.
  8. Perhaps we need a coalition statement before each home game.
  9. Well Infucked up there, just went to watch the game could not get it going I thought Rovers TV screwed up again then I saw the 2-0 and realized it was a 6:30 KO and I had in fact missed it. Buggar, and we win
  10. Presumably when nobody comes in January, hierarchy just talks of Litherland, Atcheson and Pratt as the new project.
  11. That is a definite positive !! Long may that continue .
  12. Didn’t realise Preston got a welcome late equaliser against Norwich as well which is a bonus
  13. Miller took a bashing , but I think he is the type of player that enjoys that
  14. Most of the kickings Millar got were a result of his awful first touch!
  15. Tronstad is a difference maker in that midfield. Huge player who will be missed massively next season.
  16. Possibly unfair and not particularly charitable to fellow human beings (who have moved to a madhouse club in a foreign country) but am I the only one that would swap De Neve and Gueye for a working drainage system?
  17. Couldn't express my current mood better tbh. Attendance: 11,657 (575 away)
  18. Calling it (fairly) early, Baradji is a player ! Beginning to see why they persevered with his signing. Brilliant 3 points which have to admit wasn't confident about when I saw the team sheet. Have to say for somebody making their debut, playing out of position, Litherland was fantastic. My MOM though was Miller who was kicked, kneed, nearly knocked out, but just kept getting up and got stuck in πŸ’™πŸ€ Very happy today
  19. Main thing is if has been (and can stay) injury free for the larger part of a season
  20. Really pleasing to win, especially when you have a couple of Academy lads making their debut at the back and with both strikers scoring. Cantwell works so hard for the team - at one point, he was making a sliding block on the edge of our area, to prevent a cross coming in. He gets pre-judged because of how he looks / is a technically gifted player / whatever, but he works as hard as anyone. Saw the difference Sondre makes to the team today, particularly in the first half. (Also my team won earlier in the day, 4-0 win against a set of Dingles, for a 3rd consecutive win πŸ†)
  21. https://londonroad.net/Forum/showthread.php?tid=24094&pid=1400537#pid1400537 I asked last week on the Peterborough forum for their thoughts on him
  22. 3 points......at home, no less....with a clean sheet.......& Captain Calamity between the sticks to boot. How novel. A nice start to the holidays.
  23. A very welcome win and lightens the sporting mood amid the Ashes debacle. Millwall were poor apparently and apart from maybe Coventry this division seems to be very ordinary from top to bottom. Shame we don't have the players or the manager to capitalise on it. Also good to see academy players coming in and making good impressions Speaking of which was driving through Cambridgeshire recently and the local radio was waxing lyrical about Harry Leonard and that Peterborough think they'll lose him to a "bigger" club.
  24. The consensus of those around me in BBE was that this was a truly awful game of football. Would have bitten your hand off for a win and a clean sheet before kickoff however, so very pleased and relieved to finally win another home game. Pleased for the young players Pratt, Litherland & Atcheson to get a clean sheet performance under their belt. On to Boro, but we will have to play better than we did today. 🀞
