Well not really, it suggests it was Hyam making Batth look good rather than the other way round -

I don't post on twitter/x, I just saw it under an Elliott Jackson post, however, you (or anyone else who fancies doing so) are more than welcome to take my place π -
I've thought for a while these proceedings were fairly irrelevant from our point of view and it only affected how much it was costing the owners to fund us. However with the last minute sale of Hyam and no replacement, Im wondering just how near the knuckle we actually are in terms of immediate cash flow etc. The Hyam move went through so quickly and unexpectedly that it seems to me as though we must have been touting him about to Clubs in the last 48 -72 hours of the window desperately trying to shift him, and got a bite from Wrexham.

Aye. There's nothing like outright lying to try and prove a 'point'. I do hope you have pulled him up on it on X? -

Some people are so desperate to look on the positive side of everything, that they just make up their own facts TGH must have really impressed Christian in those 46 minutes that he played against Rovers across 3 separate appearances in his career to date (only 15 of those minutes were for West Brom) https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/taylor-gardner-hickman/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/546944/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=2&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= -

If ever a post showed you up for happy-clapping trolling it's that one. You know what you have put up is incorrect. Otherwise, please explain why the hell our club is selling Hyam, Travis, Brittain, Buckley and JRC for just β¬2.03m combined. At least Chaddy has had the sense to go into self-imposed exile for a bit rather than try to justify this window. -

The posts coming out of Derby would suggest it's Batth missing Hyam rather than the other way round. -
Yep,looks like the novice has been given Carte Blanche to do what he wants...so dangerous its untrue. We are on a hiding to nothing.

Andy Bayes: "For a team that ended last season just outside of the play-off spots, the hope from the fanbase was to make some key additions over the summer to supplement what they already had could see another realistic top-six push." ...We've been basically stripped bare instead.I hate these b'stards killing our Club with a passion. Going for 1-1 at best here, its like we are starting with a new side(all be it weaker)and its going to take time to gel. -

I'd much rather see a net spend ranking. -
I don't think we can - we have three CBs (McLoughlin, Carter, Wharton) and two 'full backs that can play there' (Miller, Pickering). If we're training and drilling three at the back and there's an injury or suspension, we're immediately playing a player out of position.

like Hull (not parachute level wages, but they do pay decent wages) -

You could spend Β£50 million on transfers but if you are only willing / able to pay players Β£5k a week then they aren't likely to be very good and you probably won't improve as a team. Likewise you could spend Β£0 and bring in free agents and loans only, but if you are shelling out wages on a PL or parachute level then you're probably going to end up with a very strong side at this level. No doubt of course that this Β£8-9 million transfer spend estimate will enter the history books as fact once Gestede and co have told Jackson about it and then they can pretend as though there has been serious investment in the team. Anyone with sense can see we have drastically regressed off the back of it. -
Aye, but who IS the club in this context? We forget at our peril that the only constant since this whole nightmare began is the shadow-man, and he has shown time and time again complete contempt for others, disdain for due process and total ignorance of the law in this country as regards the treatment of employees. His one trick pony tactic is simply to put others between him and the full scrutiny of those who question what is going on at the club. He also knows that should he step into the light, for example in a 'fans forum' type meeting, he would be rapidly exposed for the rat that he is - which is why, of course, we never hear a peep from him, because he knows he is that close to being undone. We can see RG is a knob, and perhaps that is his role and his level of capability, so he is very easily supplanted. What would happen if Suhail Pasha Shaikh was held to account and removed from the picture? - well that is a very interesting question for which it is becoming high time we had an answer. SHADOW SHAIKH OUT! INTO THE LIGHT YOU CONNIVING COCKROACH !

Transfermarkt for some reason, guess at some fees, yet have "?" for others, such as Hyam, Leonard, Brittain & Travis, which means that those 4 sales essentially count as Β£0 in their figures https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/transfers/wettbewerb/GB2/plus/?saison_id=2025&s_w=s&leihe=3&intern=0&intern=1 I think it may be input by users, similar to wikipedia, but that is just further reason not to believe what they publish -

Where do they get those figures from? e.g. even going off Transfermarkt, Derby's CF cost Β£6.9m and their RB Β£2.5m. Was Travis free? Carlton Morris free? No loan fees paid for Beck, Brereton-Diaz et al?
