  2. New Order Live King George's Hall Blackburn, England January 26th, 1985 The Perfect Kiss
  3. De Neve, Abileiusu, Kargbo are all here because they're fast as fuck The fact Abileiusu can defend and play a ball is a happy accident
  4. I was there Den watching the game with my own eyes and voicing my own opinion based on what I saw including the weather conditions at Rovers and the state of the pitch pre game
  5. going to be close,i think we`ll survive, though what dastardly and muttley do in january will be crucial
  6. Correct. This is not a squad with pace. (You can add De Neve to that short list)
  7. Not sure what to think. During (very) brief moments, we play some “OK” football, which makes you believe we have more ability than we actually do - but overall, we don’t look that threatening. Attacking wise, we are solely reliant on Cantwell. There’s generally a lack of steel in the team, and we’re too soft when it comes to conceding goals. Combined with VI’s poor managerial track record (including with us), it’s hard not to feel that this will be a tough season.
  8. That starting eleven today is one of the slowest I've ever seen. Alebiosu aside - all of them are slow. Cantwell looking for runners from Gudjohnsen, Moreshita and Hedges. Looked much better when Kargbo and De Neve came on, but that starting eleven had no pace going forward.
  9. People are saying what they saw Chaddy. Not what they wanted to see or ignoring the parts they didn’t want to see.
  10. most of us are unhappy because the overhaul has consisted of a lot of crap players and one who we won`t see till after christmas, pne have overhauled their squad and signed players who are used to english football and are quite good, they`ve spent less than us as well
  11. One was ruled out very unfairly but he finished it, so point is he put the ball in the net twice against France
  12. Blackpool sacked Steve Bruce after a poor start to the season
  13. 15 points deduction for Wednesday now expected. Effectively means we have two relegation places to avoid with Sheffield United having ownership and a summer transfer window which makes ours look benign and Oxford in danger of second seasonitis. Ismael Gestede and Pasha will have to work on it to get us relegated. Not a gimme by any means.
  14. I go Rhodes, Dack, Szmodics and Mulgrew
  15. Would you taken a point at 80 mins with being 1 nil down? like I have previously, some players will settle quicker than other. Gudjohnsen has been here around a month. Tronstad took a couple of months despite him previously played in England for Huddersfield and spent 2 years here in the UK. Look at De Neve who didn't look good 2 months ago but today he did look good Well, we have to disagree here. Its been a start that many of us are unhappy but given the overhaul of the squad is that surprising? probably not
  16. Alebiosu and Kargbo are quick, not seeing much pace elsewhere.
  17. Perhaps we are getting our poor results in early this season, and we will go on an unbeaten run-in, to the play-offs.
  18. Can't knock the squad for pace, this is probably the most athletic squad since Hughes. The issue is what they do immediately after the pace stops
  19. Has Kragbo been getting grief?
  20. Cantwell would look even better if he had some decent players around with him with a bit of pace.
  21. Looking at the statistics, Kargbo was an impact sub in the Serie B and I’d be surprised if he moves beyond that status in the Championship.
  22. allibiouso.cantwell and toth will all be attracting suitors in january, cantwell especially looks a class apart this season,no doubt the ghastly duo are already planning the annual january destruction
  23. Today
  24. Shouldn't take time to learn to control a football. Meant to be an international footballer.
  25. Well I certainly wouldnt have taken a point before the game. Its a home game against a side thats nothing special, off the back of a dreadful start to the season. Unlike our overall start, its not terrible by any means, but we needed a win. On Gudjohnsen, had it been a player who had 2 really good first starts, people would be saying what a signing he looks and you wouldnt say a word. Im just speaking on what weve seen so far, hes looked crap, miles off it, has had 2 massive chances that hes totally fluffed and his poor touches have twice led indirectly to opposition goals. Im not writing him off, lets make that clear, its very early days, but he has also looked rubbish in his first 2 starts, lets not beat around the bush. Lets hope he improves and fast. Did I think Hedges was "very good" or man of the match? No to both. I dont recall anything he did going forward in terms of quality. Plodded up and down without threatening. Its been a really poor start to the season heading into the second international break. 2 wins, 6 losses and a draw. I dont see much to be optimistic about at the moment.
