  1. Past hour
  2. they must be on some ***** up kind of narcotics in lyon to 15 million quid for him, wonder if he`s learned how to pass forward yet๐Ÿ™‚
  3. Not fit to hold Adam Wharton's jockstrap yet only 3 million cheaper. Stick a plodder in a world famous shirt and badge for a few mins and potential buyers go giddy.
  4. If they offer anything remotely reasonable for Gueye (ยฃ2 million?),I think we have to snap their hands off. Leaves us desperate up front, though. Leonard is injury-prone and not up to Championship standard. He needs a loan. Anyone think Buckley could do a job as a "false nine". Maybe a "very false nine". Lets be honest, he isn`t going to make the grade in any other position, even after years of potential promise. Takes a decent penalty, though! Maybe we would just have to play without a striker if Ohashi unavailable. Worked for Arsenal!
  5. They seem to have gone around the young British coach type route too often, guys who either guarantee nothing but stability or flop. If they'd gone for a JDT and backed him it could be a different story.
  6. Just Baradji, a winger and Miller? Short of bodies in general. But up front, number 10, centre back.
  7. Bramall Laneโ€ฆweโ€™ll never forget!
  8. Sheffield Wednesday: EFL increasingly concerned over financial crisis and fixture fulfilment - BBC Sport
  9. No foooking way we loan him out...shouldn't sell but if they're offering 6 million quid we have to take it so we can buy a replacement for 500,000
  10. where does it leave us short? up front? Supposedly Medical has been taking place today
  11. 1. Winners of the Championship Ipswich 2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship Coventry 3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship Leicester, Sheff U, Boro, Southampton 4. Three relegated sides from the Championship Wednesday, Hull, Charlton 5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship? 16th 6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts) Swansea 7. Winners of the Premier League Liverpool 8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season (e.g. Donald Trump visits Ewood Park) The stands or the whole ground become sponsored. The Venkys Xpress Stadium. The Number 39 Kebab and Pizza Blackburn End. The Vape-orama Nuttall Street Grandstand.
  12. In other news, Tyler Morton is a ยฃ15m player.
  13. Everyone has a price. We are great at finding people to take our players off us. Still amazed with the Ennis deal from a couple of years ago!
  14. You are being incredibly pedantic. How many times have I said I am not part of the Twatterati. I think you are just aggressively trolling and you should find something more constructive to post.
  15. I wonder how much they are offering? A loan with an obligation would delight the top brass at Ewood. Can't reinvest the money but gives us a guaranteed income for the future, so the billionaire owners don't need to dip so far into their pockets. What did we sign him for? ยฃ1m? If they come in with ยฃ2m, he's gone.
  16. Ordinarily I would be happy to sell Gueye. I dont think hes been a successful signing and crucially I think when he comes in for Ohashi, it causes such a shift in how we play. We have lost our only good crosser so to cut our losses (or probably a profit) on Gueye and sign a more suitable player to really push Ohashi would be better. Obviously, the concern here is that we dont get a replacement. And also the fact that we havent made any attempts to strengthen the attack will leave us short temporarily.
  17. We may or may not pursue with talks with a mystery foreign winger?
  18. We all know what comes next. England will have 2+ days to chase 275 and weโ€™ll get bowled out for under 200 slogging.
  19. But spending up front would be an advantage as itโ€™s a rolling cycle so no โ€˜long termโ€™ championship club has that luxury. I agree the rules are as clear as mud - in terms of promoted clubs they say what they must do (provide the figures as I mentioned earlier) but donโ€™t make clear as to why they must do this. In terms of their spending - their turnover was above ours* in their league two season (for reasons I seem to recall you alluding to earlier) and presumably has only continued to grow. Whether this assumed increase is enough to keep them within whatever FFP rules apply to them I guess only time will tell. * I think this is correct, if not it was very close to being so.
  20. Paper Lace - Billy, Donโ€™t Be a Hero
  21. England's morning with ball and bat, well on top and then throw it away with the usual batting collapse Match finely balanced and tilted towards India if anything. England, minus Woakes, will have to bowl well
  22. Seems you were right in it being posted on Twitter days earlier. However, just seems strange no one, including yourself, on this MB who uses Twitter posted about it despite the concerns expressed by a number of posters on the Pre Season thread about the lack of a friendly game for this coming weekend. Those posters included Chaddy who claims he saw the Twitter post yet made posts on 20 July about behind closed door friendlies being arranged for this weekend. What I posted about the Netherlands' friendly on 20 July was to my knowledge not in any media, news or social, that I use. As stated earlier today, I was told about the friendly by a Rovers' employee.
  23. Then why would you say you havenโ€™t seen it anywhere else if you donโ€™t include Twitter which is one of if not the most common source for transfer information? Think about it And while your thinking about it I hope your ready to apologise to rovers99 for pretty much calling him a liar
