  1. Past hour
  2. I’m just tarred with local derbys away from home. I don’t think I’ve seen us win one since Lambert first game.
  3. Today
  4. Brilliant goal for Dacky tonight v. Crawley on telly.
  5. The strangest thing was why they were being sold from a website but not the shop
  6. Not a Rovers players any more but Zak Gilsenan came on as a sub for Grimsby late into the second half.
  7. I'm tarred with the TM era i'd be surprised if those years yielded many points but i might be wrong of course.
  8. The cynic in my thinks we might only see Cantwell a couple more times in a Rovers shirt, as he is struck down by a few more "mystery" injuries before the January window.
  9. Carter will probably pick an injury up in the next week. Ismael wasnt sure if Cantwell will be fit enough.
  10. Carter and Cantwell will surely start this game? I would pick Hedges as left wing back in place of De Neve
  11. I remember standing in the enclosure or paddock below the Nuttall Street stand and, as we sang this, three Notts County supporting girls shouted, "So do we".
  12. This isnt actually true in recent times. Our record for the first game after international breaks reads like this in recent seasons - 21-22 - 4 draws 22-23 - Won 1, lost 2 (less breaks for winter world cup) 23-24 - Won 3, lost 1 24-25 - Won 3 lost 1
  13. They are already manufactured given someone bought one already, it’s a very bizarre situation now as they will need to shift them but missed the ‘event’
  14. Yes, what a match. A huge crowd, thousands from Devon painting the town green and what a chance to muck things up - nearly. My Grandpa who took me to Ewood from around 1970 would always leave with ten minutes to go and we would watch the game's final few minutes through the slats at the back of the Riverside. I'm sure we saw the last two goals go in from there. It would be great to have that feeling again, but maybe not in the 3rd Division.
  15. We will have something to play for. Staying in the league.
  16. We aren't going to have much to play for this season so a must win attitude needed here and 3 very valuable points along with some rare bragging rights. Notoriously sluggish coming out of International breaks whoever runs the team so this probably couldn't have come at a worse time. Due a win though over there, been close to it twice so 3rd time lucky ?
  17. Yes, so the only way to try and keep them is a decent contract in both length and wage but they aren't doing that either. It'll come to a point where some decent players will leave here for the same or less wages just to go for ambition or the security of a longer contract.
  18. there is no ambition at all at rovers,if you want to try and have a go at promotion as a player it`s pointless, they`ll just do anything to stop it,as illustrated in past seasons,so any player who desires playing at a higher level is wasting his time, hence anyone who`s any good will eventually decide to leave as soon as possible
  19. He often works from Brockhall where he is based.
  20. Starts this weekend for O'Riordan - lost 2-1 - played the full game - 5 Okoronkwo ghosted in to beat him for the opener. Some good forays forward when there was no other option on. Clearances and tackles aplenty. Fired over right at the very death Wood - lost 1-0 - played the full game Boggan - won 3-2 - replaced after 75 minutes whilst 2-1 up Wolsoncroft - lost 4-1 - played the full game On the bench Barrett - won 3-2 - remained on the bench throughout Edmondson - won 1-0 - Isuzu Cup, likely rested - came on after 64 minutes with the score at 0-0 Sergeant - drew 1-1 - came on at some point prior to 65 minutes whilst 1-0 down - I caught the tail end of the commentary on their free online radio, they sounded impressed with Sergeant, although he was apparently offside quite a bit Not involved in matchday squad Olson & O'Grady-Macken - drew 0-0 Farkas - lost 1-0
  21. Ask the dingles whether he can tackle or not. You don’t often see a tackle that takes out two players at once.
  22. I just can't see anything but a Preston win. They have started the season really well, the fans will be with them. This is not the same as going to away to a misfiring Leicester, or an injury plagued Bristol City. Heckingbottom will have his players fired up for this one, whereas Ismael will probably have Rovers struggling to string a couple of passes together, not to mention being utterly lightweight as they were against Derby - Preston are another side that will be too physical and strong for the Rovers softies. Predicting that Ismael will pick this team: Pears Miller McLoughlin Hedges Alebiosu Montgomery Tronstad De Neve Morishita Ohashi Gudjohnsen My god that looks an awful team 😂. Preston 3 - 0 Rovers
  23. That's fair. I don't know much about them as a club but fair play if they reinvest in the squad. That must be nice 🙃. If they weren't below is in the table currently then I'd wish him well, but as it is they are a relegation rival as it stands. I don't expect them to remain down there but then I also expected Sheff United to have pulled away by now as well.
  24. Every football fan I've spoken to who has seen Wharton for the first time has exclaimed their surprise that Wharton can tackle. It's quite something seeing more and more people understand just how good he is at so many things. It's frankly insulting to limit him to the description of merely a deep lying playmaker. Akin to calling Ibrahimovic a poacher. I would agree that Anderson is very good and a great foil to Rice, but I'd love to see Wharton get the chance to elevate himself again. He doesn't fail.
  25. Agree but I think Anderson is much more of an all action player. He's suited to rice because they can both switch roles during the game. Wharton doesn't need to do alot of running as his positional play is exceptional. He's more suited to the heat next year
  26. he is our head of administration. Basically Club's secretary and replace Iain Silvester Brett B. | LinkedIn
