If the club try to off-set the boycott by giving away tickets, then publish this fact (maybe over-estimate the facts) and see what the clubs reaction is. They don't seem to be good in these situations.

The boycott would look even more effective if the game before against Charlton was a sell out,see what you're missing sort of thing. So if everyone who hasn't attended a game for God knows how long could possibly turn out for Charlton in early January that would be brilliant, come on, let's sell it out and show them what they're missing. After all, it's only one game.

Gets some media attention for a little bit, fair enough. That Daniel Storey article was very good. But of course the media cycle moves on in a week or two and as the regime will have just stayed in their submarine till it dies down they’ll just shrug it off. The ‘official boycott’ on its own terms will do nothing a savvy media campaign would do anyway - like we saw last season with the three stooges in their hostage video - but what it has done has lost the Coalition a lot of ground with the majority of match goers, which is kind of the opposite of what they were aiming for.

Do people think the club will pull out all the stops to entice people to the Watford game? Slash prices, bring a mate, kids for a quid, family fun day, tons of free tickets to local schools etc? If they suspect only a few hundred will actually boycott, they might be able to plug that gap with a big one-off push/giveaway, so that they can then point and say there was no drop in attendance, no boycott, etc. That is something I would do, if I was in that position. Let's say real home attendance circa 6k, but 500-1k boycott. Imagine they could claw most of those back in other sales if they offered hundreds of free tickets and had a huge one-off ticket deal.

To flip that on it's head, what's the worst that can happen? The boycott doesnt get a particularly good take up, BUT the cause receives some media attention and we're no worse off than if nothing had happened.

Maybe 1 would be enough. But you keep saying thats enough in terms of numbers in a list. Is there enough quality in those options? I would suggest not but we clearly have different standards on quality needed. Ive listed loads of players that I would happily ship out. I named 6 players currently registered that are of no use to us. We IMO need 2 centre backs, a right wing back and 2 strikers minimum, so in theory, we wouldnt need to deregister Carter if the window went as planned. But if it came to it, then yes, deregister him because hes no use if he cant even get through a week of training. You say potentially sell him, who on earth is buying him with that injury record? Wharton is a bit different, he at least at times can sustain himself for a run of games so I would certainly register him. Why are you happy to write off De Neve 6 months in but not Tavares or Henriksson?

Lee Dixon commentating on tonight’s match saying how Wharton knows where his pass is going before he gets it. I said that from the first time A saw him. It’s why he’s never under pressure. He doesn’t hold onto it long enough for anyone to get close to him. It’s a wonderful talent and not many players are blessed with it. Couple that with pin point accuracy from a first touch and he’s a dream to watch.

It’s going to be ‘officially’ tried, but c6,000 will still be in the ground, not a million miles off what we’ve seen in the past couple of months anyway. So what are we getting from it over and above what has already been happening?

The boycott may not be successful but it has to be tried. In reality thousands have just got out of the habit of attending anyway and probably realised how much money they are saving on a lost cause. It'll be joined by more over the summer when many don't renew. That is a boycott of sorts. Sadly it all seems to be leading to a tragic ending where fans have to pick up the pieces and start all over again. The only question for me is how many years of suffering do we endure till that happens. I don't think I have that many left!

We need to sign a striker that's for sure... defensively we are quite good and have a feeling O'Riordan will be a superb Defender for us.

We all know where this ends, too. If we aren't willing to pay decent Championship wages we will soon not be playing in the Championship anymore. Those in charge may be arrogant enough to believe they have the secret to success that bypasses the need to pay proper wages, but they will find they are wrong. We've already bombed from playoff contenders to relegation scrappers within half a season - it won't be long before they do enough damage to relegate us. Could still happen this season, although I think we may be saved by Oxford and Portsmouth (Sheff Weds are obv already goners).

I'm not just listing players as you suggested but the reality of what the situation actually is. I asked you a very simple question of, so do we not register Carter or Wharton then? no response again, just ignored again. Do we let Carter go then if he such a waste of space as you suggest? We had the option to not play these injured players like Carter and Wharton, get rid if you want. I would be tempted to get rid of Carter down to injury record. I pleased O'Riordan has been recalled and for one we need 1 more centre back signing. That's enough for me, Plus add Miller, Litherland and Atcheson to that. Yes Rovers have decisions to make over some players and given the comments from Ismael on this, its appears some will leave and that will allow us to sign 3 or 4 players. I would sell Gueye, Ribeiro, De Neve and Tyjon go in this window. Would keep Pickering as left wing back option with Hedges. On Henriksson and Tavares, I wouldn't write them off at this stage. We need to find what role Tavares is going to play and Henriksson I would give him the rest of the season.

They definitely wont sign more than 1, if even they do that. But whats the point in naming Carter? Its clear that he cant even be relied on as a squad player. And Wharton isnt back until February and although his injuries tend to be more serious rather than continious muscle injuries, he cant be relied upon. Normally 3 from 6 or 7 would be fine, even if the quality there which it isnt IMO. But when 2 of them are Wharton and Carter, its not enough. They are not serious options. It would become 3 from 2 new signings, O'Riordan who is far from proven, Pratt who has only just emerged, and McLoughlin and Miller who are nothing special.

Bots are easy to spot they reply real fast and almost instantly start patronising and use first names. The profiles are a scream as well. Probably California Rovers bot farm.

A real problem, as you probably know Glen, is it appears someone is paying for pro Venkys/ pro board bots on X and also Facebook. I think WATR would benefit from fighting fire with fire.

Surely the whole idea of digital tickets is buy anytime, anywhere as long as they are available. No need for restrictions it goes against the whole point of these 'progressive' ideologies. Was talking to a Nobber the other day and he said i think there allocation there was only about 2k so maybe it's something to do with that. Trying to gauge if they should ask for a few more.
