If he was considered good enough for the Championship one of those clubs (or Brum) would have kept him surely? Not saying he couldn't be alright but it's another signing that on paper looks at best "okay".

Yep - classic under this ownership..

Maybe he’ll turn into a decent squad player but fundamentally…we (a team who finished 7th last year) are signing a player who can’t get a game in a team that wasn’t even in the fucking division last year. Just tragic.

The issue I have with this is that if he's such a good player, why is he being loaned out with an option to buy after only signing for the club in February? I appreciate Brum have spent money and signed a lot of players, but as a young player and utility man you'd assume he'd be useful to keep around if he's decent.

He has played in the championship with West Brom and Bristol so definitely has experience of this league. Plus was handed his debut under VI

I know I shouldn't be supprised, but this is what we have been reduced to. Picking up the scraps from league 1 promoted clubs, 3 hours after the deadline. Beyond pathetic. I hate this club

What does it matter ? We are finished as a club….a laughing stock and an embarrassment to the town. I hate everything we have become…..as for the results in the coming weeks / months ..totally irrelevant. My support has gone and …I never thought I’d write this ..I couldn’t give a toss whether we win or lose ….we’ve been crushed by incompetence, greed and non football motives. To those who still go to Ewood …good luck…you’ll need it !

It’s not so much losing Hyam as the sheer lunacy of the timing.
