  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah it's a right shit hole round there at the moment. Any away fans hoping to get a pint or a bite to eat will be sadly disappointed for the foreseeable. It'll take quite a while to get it anything like in the immediate vicinity of the ground.
  3. norwich have one of the best squads in the division but i think we`ll have em,2-1 rovers, kargbo with a brace😁
  4. great stadium in a stupid location in the middle of nowhere
  5. Norwich come into this game on the back of a loss, with Wright red carded in that game. They'll want to bounce back and we'll want to bag win number 2. 2-1 Rovers on this one with a rousing home crowd
  6. Yeah - people still describe him as an attacking midfielder but he's an out an out striker since his second season at Rovers where he started banging them in. More like Adam Armstrong or a Championship Craig Bellamy than any midfielder I can think of.
  7. We could offer a 'contribution' to wages to reduce the overhead for Ipswich.. But thinking about it, he'd never reach those dizzy heights again, the way this team is set up..
  8. Why has travis been let down? cos the head coach Ismael told the truth to a question from the media? so he should have protect the player and lied to the fans? what was the question asked to him? if Travis has refused to play hasn't he let down his team mates, Ismael and the fans down there? Yes of course its someone high up within the club, who I don't know. TBH, I read the posts and I mentioned to few people at our last home games. They haven't read about cos they aren't on twitter but you are giving it far too much air time and focusing on it. If you think fans opinions changed on things based on the anonymous account, I think you are way off. Has my opinion on Travis changed cos of this account? no. If he wants to leave and go to Derby to play for Eustace, that's fine, Derby pay the asking price and he goes, no problem for me. Yes I would have like him to say and commit here long term but that's not the situation, he wants more than what we can afford. Did Travis refuse to play as that account said last week? I don't know but clearly something has happened behind the scenes hence why no questions at that Friday press conference and since that really. Think what Paul Mani has suggestion is a good possibly shout tho it could be something else. Criticise the club for what? a twitter account posted some things on social? is that any different to a fan saying he has heard that or this? Does it really matter that I haven't said much on the minutes or Glen and Kidder podcast? you are obsessed, many people on here haven't said owt on that issue so are criticising them aswell?
  9. Tuchel is at Palace. Wish Wharton would do something instead of hiding
  10. Yes... obviously we have spent less than incoming, but I was under the assumption we would not try and spend anything really so we could use the money on operating costs, but we have paid decent fees for players (if reported accurately, but I can't really see why it would be inaccurate). I guess the idea is to save a lot of money on wages, and hope to develop and sell on some players.
  11. 14 goals 14 assists across all competitions last season.
  12. sammie needs to play on the centre backs shoulder,he is`nt a hold up man, give him plenty of through balls and runs at the defender and he`s great.not sure we are set up that way.though id`e love to have him back here, though our pittance wage structure means it`s never going to happen
  13. It's all about styles of play and he just doesn't fit theirs but he still makes a nuisance of himself but he was never really a poacher. Here due to the defensive nature and hitting on the break he often had acres of space to attack. Now there he's trying to be first to the knockdowns and half chances in the box and he's being outmuscled.
  14. Maybe, maybe not but after the inconsistencies over the two penalties in the first two games we were due a decision. πŸ˜‚ I thought the referee was poor yesterday. His recognition of foul play was erratic for both teams. His performance was summed up when he got in the way of play twice in about thirty seconds.
  15. Ironically I think #5, the lad that should have been sent off when giving away the free kick, was just about playing him on.
  16. Another conspiracy that turned out to probably not be one so we better enjoy Cantwell whilst he's here because once he's sold/gone there'll be no more 20 grand a week signings of his ilk.
  17. Not that this would happen either way but I could definitely see Szmodics dropping out of their team soon enough. He’s had his year.
  18. Good job the officials did miss his touch as I think he was offside.
  19. You might get your wish.
  20. Even if you take Transfermarkt at face value, we've only spent Β£4.8m on transfers this summer. When Travis and Buckley go (and probably Pears too - thank god) we'll be well in the black on transfer fees. You're right though - their reluctance to loan anyone is because that's like renting a house, you're just throwing away money. They want assets they can flip. I think it's pretty clear the wage budget has shrunk significantly and we'll be there or there abouts in washing our face with the transfer fees (unless they go out and buy someone exceptional between now and the window closing!).
  21. Let's put a cheeky bid in to loan Sammie back from Ipswich πŸ˜‰
  22. If we are taking the higher end estimates of what players have been bought & sold for, eg, Β£3.5M for Brittain, Β£3M for Travis, Β£1M for JRC, Β£1M Buckley, Β£2M Tavares, Β£1M Henrikson, Β£1M Miller, Β£500K McLaughlin,Β£500K Alebiosu, Β£750K De Neve,, then we have probably spent ust over 50% of incoming money from sales
  23. And you wish relegation upon anyone who sacks an underperforming manager. I never said that he should be sacked now. But if they continue to underperform, then just blindly giving him the season is absolutely ridiculous. Obviously its not your club because you wanted Ismael out after 7 games.
  24. Its certainly not a perfect indicator as to how a player will do but its your best bet as to how the player has done to date. I have been criticised in the past for using it as a barometer. Reaction to Alebiousu from St Mirren fans was that he was excellent for them in his short time. Hull fans rated McLoughlin in the main. Kortrijk fans didnt rate De Neve at all and its hard to argue based on the very limited we have seen of all 3 that the first 2 wont be more successful than the latter. Hendriksson is perhaps an example of context too. GAIS fans loved him partly because of his personality but also he like basically all of our signings had been playing in a lesser league. He has looked off the pace so far but its very early days so hopefully he can adjust. I didnt really see any reaction to Baradji and Tavares but the news wasnt really picked up internationally and im guessing that neither club they came from is well supported.
  25. Dunno about that. Hedges had a great game yesterday but he's a poor player overall. He could easily be allowed to leave because he's simply not good enough.
  26. Well deserved MOTM award for Todd Cantwell
