brfc fan Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 My prediction: 1-2 (Defoe)-(Benni Mac, Robbo) McCarthy and Roberts to continue the fantasic partnership they have formed recently. Come on Rovers! It's a must win game so you know what you've gotta do!
Roar of the Rover Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 The players know they have to do it, like againts Newcastle and they will. Spurs 1 Berbatov Rovers 2 McCarthy, Pedersen
Daremz Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Have you just come down with the last shower Morten? We certainly have won many night away games over the years, far too many to list here even if I could remember them all. As a sample that knocks down your numbers 2 & 4 in one go: Fulham v Rovers about 4 years ago. Rovers scored 4; one from the Turkish guy we had on loan and whose name escapes me, and another from Amoruso with a fantastic header, cant remember our other scorer's but pretty sure one was Cole. This was a night match at Craven Cottage. Just hitting some trivia-action into these boards. Well done lads, you've all made it to the second round!!
den Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 ROVERS: Friedel, Emerton, Samba, Nelsen ©, Warnock, Bentley, Tugay, Mokoena, Pedersen, Roberts, McCarthy. Sub: Brown (GK), Henchoz, Gallagher, Berner, Derbyshire.
Finch Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Just seen the team sheet. I dont see keane in the list! we tend to lose when he plays. Just got to my seat. We are in the upper tier again ... Getting a bit of virtigo
Daremz Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 We don't have anything on the bench with exception of Derbs. And where are all the midfield players fgs? Anyways, faith. That is. Good luck boys!
Mr. E Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Tottenham Robinson Chimbonda King Dawson Gardner Lennon Zokora Tainio Malbranque Defoe Berbatov Subs: Cerny, Keane, Ghaly, Huddlestone, Ifil Rovers Friedel Emerton Samba Nelsen Warnock Bentley Tugay Mokoena Pedersen Roberts McCarthy Sub: Brown, Henchoz, Gallagher, Berner, Derbyshire well, no Keane, but Defoe/Berbatov won't be nice defending against either. C"MON ROVERS
Daremz Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 We need to keep the tempo up, that'll kill them. Now the match is settling, and that's not what we need. Bang in a goal Benni, bang in a goal.
USRoverME Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Malbranque off after the knock from the Moko yellow, Ghaly on.
Daremz Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 As I said Benni, score that goal. Well done, great cross by MGP by the way. And now kill them and into Europe we go !
Daremz Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 AH Bentley. You should have passed Benni in there, that would have been 0-2...
RevidgeBlue Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Anyone see Rob bloody Styles after Robinson flattened Samba in the area. That could quite easily have been called a penalty in my view yet the foul was given against Samba. As Samba received treatment, Stiles was chatting and laughing with Robinson and playfully feeling his bicep. When samba recovered Stiles didn't even ask how he was, just peremptorily waved him off the pitch!
James No. 7 Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 "He's (McCarthy's) still not happy. Don't you like winners?" - Commentator
Daremz Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 If we can play such a second half, I have faith. But a full match full power is difficult for us. Still though, Spurs must feel tired...
