MCMC1875 Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 TO staff were saying the credit card machines were faulty, hence the queues. Two suggestions Lee (apologies if they have already been mentioned): - 3 ticket office windows cash only on match days (I think there are nine altogether) - Cooler pies - the cremated ones on sale on Saturday were so hot it was over 45 mins before they were cool enough too eat!

Cocker Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Yes, I was part of a long-standing campaign last season when we were in the Uefa Cup. This involved getting several hundred members of brfcs to ask over and over again if the game was on Eurosport, and what the kick off time was to raise awareness and promote Eurosport as a global brand. Do you get paid any extra to do this then? Dont start taking your work home with you - it will be the death of you. Get your sig changed to something else at least

I know I am a bit slow to post in this thread but I was one of the people who didn't think about getting a ticket so when we arrived at 2.10 there were already massive queues all the way down to the Jack Walker statue. The people around me were not moaning at Rovers more at their own stupidity about not getting organised.
SuperStella Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 So you set off to watch Rovers at Ewood and it didnt cross your mind about getting a ticket? I'll have to try that one!!! ffs
Hannah Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 So you set off to watch Rovers at Ewood and it didnt cross your mind about getting a ticket? I'll have to try that one!!! ffs That wasn't what i meant! I rarely buy a ticket in advance as it pisses me off paying the booking fee. I have never had any trouble buying a ticket on the day of a game in recent years and it didnt occur to me on Saturday it would be any different!
SuperStella Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 No need to swear my dear! Dont understand anyone that waits until 30 mins before kick off to get a ticket, especially when they have been on sale 2 weeks beforehand.

Did you read what I wrote above? If you did it would answer your question. I have never had any problems before and i resent paying a booking fee when there is no need as you can buy a ticket with no problems on the day. And I didnt arrive 30 minutes before the game I arrived 50 minutes!
broadsword Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 No need to swear my dear! And what does FFS stand for?
SuperStella Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 50 mins? thats ok then! You resent paying a POUND booking fee, but will queue up for an hour to get a ticket and potentially miss the start of the game?
mac Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 At least she's making the effort and actually coming down Ewood !
Hannah Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 50 mins? thats ok then! You resent paying a POUND booking fee, but will queue up for an hour to get a ticket and potentially miss the start of the game? You are soooooooo missing the point! And I am obviously really struggling to get it across to you! But I will try one more time. I regularly (on a matchday) just turn up at Ewood park and buy a ticket. There has never ever been a long queue to buy tickets. As I have never had a problem buying tickets on the day before it does seem a waste of money to pay the booking fee. I, along with lots of other people decided to go to the game on Saturday and just turned up. I wasn't complaining about the wait I was just not expecting it. I didn't mind queuing up, I got a ticket and I didnt miss the game. I will still turn up on a Saturday without purchasing a ticket in advance. As for the tele remark it makes no difference to me whether it is on tele or not. The games I come up for are based on when my parents are at home (so i can stop over) and when I can afford it.
SuperStella Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 You could have stayed at home, and watched the highlights on EUROSPORT for free!! Not booking fees or queues or anything!
RevidgeBlue Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 You could have stayed at home, and watched the highlights on EUROSPORT for free!! Not booking fees or queues or anything! Why shouldn't it be ok for someone who lives in the Midlands to get a ticket on the day? This "I'm a better supporter than you" attitude and constant "Is it on Eurosport?" reference which you obviously find extremely clever and hilarious (but which isn't in the least bit funny) is getting extremely boring.
gazsimm Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 You could have stayed at home, and watched the highlights on EUROSPORT for free!! Not booking fees or queues or anything! and listen to them amature commentators no thanks
RevidgeBlue Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Whilst on the subject of selling tickets, we've had the swipe cards for two whole years now, it's not like they only came in a few weeks ago. Why aren't we at the stage yet where both ST holders and non ST holders can buy tickets by charging up their card using a credit/debit card or a mobile phone as was initially mentioned would eventually be the case? It seems a bit pointless having the technology in place and not using it to its full extent.
SuperStella Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Oh sorry Revidge, wont try and be funny any more! I will stick to slagging off our new signings without them kicking a ball. The whole Eurosport 'joke' was started when numerous members asked over and over and over again if our European games were on Eurosport.

I know, and I'm sure everyone "got it", and it was funny the first time you told it, but not the hundredth!
