G Somerset Rover Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Santa again, come on boys! Take it to them!
Lathund Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 1-1, RSC. Benni really made that goal though, brought the ball down beautifully, and although the finish was poor it was a tap-in for RSC on the rebound.
Rovers in America Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 I got up at 7:30am to watch this horse @#/??
Wolves_Rover Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Santa again, come on boys! Take it to them! What on earth would we do without Brad & Rocky? edit : & Bents
Paul Mellelieu Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 2-1 Come on Rovers! Lift my sickbed blues.
Rovers in America Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 I take back my left comment. The goals are finally starting to fall. Now if I could just get some sound to come through on the feed.
RevidgeBlue Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Unbelievable turnaround - we're incredibly lucky: a) Nelsen wasn't given a second yellow for conceding the penalty. Friedel saved our skins. This may be the stroke of outrageous good fortune which will turn the season round.
Exiled_Rover Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 How the hell has Nelson (I think) let Oakley roll him so easily. Shocking Oakley blocked Nelsen off, that's a foul in everyone's book (not this ref, but he's a fool). It was also a dive for the penalty decision, but again that takes a competent referee. Nelsen certainly hasn't recovered from his injury though.
eddiewac Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 ye definite dive although if he gives the pen then maybe he should book him, saying that, Tugay was just completely wiped out and if thats not a booking then...
Blueboy Downunder Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 their goal was totally against the run of play, but we thoroughly, thoroughly deserve to be in front at the half. we have battered derby so far and hopefully we stamp our dominance on the game even more in the second half.
eddiewac Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Cue the "impartial" analysis....Nelsen LUCKY still to be on the pitch, BLATANT penalty blah blah blah
den Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 1-0 Derby after we've dominated, yet another blunder from Nelsen losing Oakley, why the hell isn't Samba playing? Samba's girlfriend is giving birth today. A 12lber I reckon.
Presty On Tour Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 funny old game this football, wasn't really a surprise when derby scored first though was it. well played friedel, the pen save certainly changed the game and to be honest we could get a hat full the 2nd half. pedersen is playing well too ternent! wots the score!!!!
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Apart from the first goal, which was against the run of play, I felt we've been fully in control. Great first half from us and justice was done when Friedel saved the penalty after Miller dived. RSC has been brilliant and Bentley's goal was superb. Let's keep this up Rovers!
tonygreenbank Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Thank God we`ve got the goals our dominance demands. We need a couple more as defence looks weak again but getting little protection from midfield. Samba has got permission to miss the match as his missus is giving birth.

Ben-2000 Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 What great control from McCarthy for the first. Thank god we've turned this around (so far)... could have gone horribly wrong
Bing Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Mokoena let Oakley run off him for their goal. I can't fathom quite why he decided to charge out wide left to press the ball when he was never going to get close and Pedersen and Warnock were nearer. From there Nelsen had to leave Barnes (who was then able to play in Oakley) to try and get to Oakley who stepped over the ball and blocked off Nelsen.
T4E Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 We've been hugely lucky. Once again our defending is absolutely abysmal. We must not allow the fact that we are ahead and should go on to win cover up our short comings. Nelsen needs dropping, and for a good long while. His extended honeymoon period is well and truly over, and at the moment he's as bad as any player we've got (apart from Emerton). You could see the foul for the penalty coming a mile off, and he was embarrasingly caught out for the Derby goal. Any other side in this division would be 2 or 3 goals up on us right now. We've got MAJOR problems.
