ni_rover Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Robbie is officially a Derby player now and will be making his debut at home against Wigan on Saturday. Id like to wish the guy good luck. I think he was terrific for the time and games and played for us. He gave nothing but 110% and he is a gentleman. He left for honest reasons and in good spirit and im happy at that and I hope he gets an astounding reception when he returns later on in the season. Great signing for Paul Jewell definately. Best wishes Chicken Wing

andrew92 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 i agree that he was great for us but think its good business from blackburn as he is 33 and it frees up some money.
ni_rover Posted January 9, 2008 Author Posted January 9, 2008 i agree that he was great for us but think its good business from blackburn as he is 33 and it frees up some money. Yeah absolutely, it was a great deal for him and us. Positive all around and I think he will be an important player for them. The work rate and commitment is 2nd to none!!!
ni_rover Posted January 9, 2008 Author Posted January 9, 2008 Yeah good luck Robbie! Nice to see positive comments cause he was a nice guy. Too much negativity going around the forums which isnt right!
LeftWinger Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Nice to see positive comments cause he was a nice guy. Too much negativity going around the forums which isnt right! You aren't Savage in disguise are you?
modes98 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Bloody Irish. Use the topic already open Jonny Topic
LeftWinger Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Bloody Irish. Use the topic already open Jonny Topic I personally think it's better to be able to leave good luck messages in a thread not entitled Savage - Bad Apple. But that is only my opinion
rebelmswar Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I personally think it's better to be able to leave good luck messages in a thread not entitled Savage - Bad Apple. But that is only my opinion I did ask for that topic to be renamed.
Roost Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I did ask for that topic to be renamed. How dare You!! Perhaps change it to 'Savage - The Ex Bad Apple'? Talking of apples - is Arthur COX still involved at Derby Good Luck Robbie. One Love - BRFC
Ben-2000 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I personally think it's better to be able to leave good luck messages in a thread not entitled Savage - Bad Apple. Correct. Good Luck Robbie - it was nice to hear the positive comments he made about Rovers. I have a feeling Derby won't be 'push overs' in the 2nd half of the season, they have made some good signings with more to come if the rumours are correct.
Grabbi Graeme Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Always gave 100% when wearing the shirt and I think we will miss him, good luck Robbie.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Cheers Robbie! I'm sure Ewood will be the only stadium where you won't get a boo this season!
Mr. E Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I wish him all the best too. Fantastic attitude, very hard worker, can bring a liveliness and energy to any team. Thank you, Robbie.
rebelmswar Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 What everyone has said is true. A great player who did very very well for us and should always be held in high regard by Blackburn fans everywhere.
Roar of the Rover Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Thanks for everything Robbie. All the best!
Will Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Legend?? Not too sure about that. Garner, Shearer, Friedel i class as legends. Anyway, good luck Sav and thanks.
ABBEY Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 cant believe we sell sav and keep the useless mokawanka....
rover6 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Savage forced himself out of Birmingham in a similarly disrespectful way to Barry Ferguson exiting Rovers. Not even close to being a legend. Never fear, Abbey. Hughes will purchase a new CM and he will inevitably be better than Mokoena.
ABBEY Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 i think he will but after the past few weeks and ending up with saturdays gutless showing i cant fathom him starting with ax aka rubber chicken
Hannah Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Gutted! Dilema now though - Robbie Bentley-Hughes the rabbit! Do I give him a new first name?
