tcj_jones Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I hate Chelsea. I will be gutted if he goes there and am praying that he goes to City.
Hasta Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 He means Rijkaard. I do indeed. It's hard work trying to read the board and post quickly when you've got a new job ;-)
Guest fernhurstblue Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Just wondering what the prices were...cough, splutter. nasty cough you got there mr nixon, the cure must be a few years in madrid
philipl Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Abramovich had better be quick or he faces losing the backbone of Chelsea in the next few days. This on the BBC about Mourinho's unveiling at Inter an hour ago: Inter president Massimo Moratti said: "I have read lots of names but I have yet to speak with him (Mourinho) about the transfer market." (Oh yes, pull the other one!) "I would like to change very little of this squad which has won so much." General manager Ernesto Paolillo added that there would be "few, but good players" arriving this summer.
greggyk Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 hahaha DEANOO DEANOO Give him the job i say! With Souey as Strikers coach..
Blackburn Ender Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 A bit of level-headedness there. Hughes must know he's risking his reputation (the money surely doesn't come into it at this level) by going in to City.
gazsimm Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Something is happening with Big Sam, why would he cut short his holiday, unless he does not like the pies were ever he is
Exiled_Rover Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I always said Deano was a great bloke He's inherently evil, there's a devious motive behind those comments.
nicko Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Something is happening with Big Sam, why would he cut short his holiday, unless he does not like the pies were ever he is Big Sam has been on holiday for some time...
Mc Love Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Sam HAS made contact with rovers Ehhhhhhhh?? No he hasnt
philipl Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 City sewn up the agreement with JW yet so they can start talking to Sparky? Thought not.
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I hate Chelsea. I will be gutted if he goes there and am praying that he goes to City. I'm the opposite, i would rather Hughes went to Chelsea than City.
Flopsy Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 as long as its not O'Leary or Ol'Monkey Heed Im not particularly fussed
AJW Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Something is happening with Big Sam, why would he cut short his holiday, unless he does not like the pies were ever he is He's come back for a meatloaf look-a-like competition in the fernhurst
gazsimm Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 if he does take over, i wonder if the blackburn end will sing to him (your gonna get sack in the morning)!!!!!!!
Shabani Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 'the Lancashire Telegraph understands he has already sounded Rovers out - via a third party' that puts my mind at ease tbh, he's just trying to send a little message to man City
MCMC1875 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Sam HAS made contact with rovers Who could the '3rd' party be - Beamo?
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Ol'Monkey Heed Im not particularly fussed Monkey Heed? Fat Sam?
RevidgeBlue Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 In case anyone has forgot, Coppell has just got Reading relegated by playing some of the most tactically inept football ever seen in the Premier League. He does nothing but talk down the expectations of his team, he moans about management in general and whether he's suitable for it, and his teams always play the same way. No ta. Thank god. The voice of reason on that point. I would add to the above list that he seemed to lose half his dressing room in the second half of the season. The only two names as possible replacements that get my juices flowing are Ince and Bilic at this point. I must be the only person on here that actually likes BFS as a personality as well as admiring the job he did on limited resources at Bolton but I would genuinely fear for him and more importantly the club if he took the job on with a large section of our support dead set against his appointment.
Ronin Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Sounds like they read it on here, when Nicko mentioned BFS' mate at one of the Red Tops pushed his name for the Rovers job. That be the 'Third Party'?
Rover95 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Of course BFS 'fancies' the Blackburn job. Why wouldn't he?? I just hope and pray that JW doesn't fancy him. Although I do strongly believe we need to trust his judgement - he's not let us down before. I'd like Ince or Bilic myself, but to be honest, I'd give anyone a fair shot at it . After all, first and foremost I'm a Rovers' fan and always will be regardless of what happens
Eddie Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 OK, so as some of you may recall from the Benni saga a couple of summers ago I have a friend at l'equipe. He insists that some informal contact has been made between Rovers and the Croatian FA (he's currently in Austria). He works for a French paper, he won't fully cover this story at all, but it was still an interesting piece of news (he has no reason to lie to me). Personally don't think Bilic would be interested, but could you look into it for me nicko?
