3recurring Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 really want pompey to go down after adams recent claims that we are spineless! come on rovers get another!!!!! Adams is a pleb - he's an average championship coach at best, and is just waiting to be found out at this level. GTFI Rovers! More goals please, chaps!
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Sounds like Stoke have had most of the posession, most of the play, but we have had 3 chances and put them all away. Like others have said the performance isn't what counts today its the result.
Roverall Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 "We're under absolutely no pressure, everyone expects us to lose every game and go down" ###### off Incey! FAT SAM'S BLUE N WHITE ARMY!
Lathund Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 We've been poor, but have defended OK and we're certainly efficient. Doesn't matter how we win, all that matters is the win and the confidence we'll get from it. Great to see both Roberts and McCarthy scoring, should do them a lot of good. Which we need if RSC does leave.
LeChuck Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 That was a lovely goal as well, great play by Roberts and McCarthy. Not only is this fantastic for confidence, but we need it for our goal difference as well. Hopefully we won't sit back.
snatchymcsnatch Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Anyone describe the goal please I just lost my fox sports picture
3recurring Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 BFS, I take back everything I ever said about you. G'waaaan Rovers! Benni Mc reincarnated!
Iceman Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 I feel like crying, tears of joy. We love this guy called Allardyce! Whooooo
John Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 This is currently making me so happy its untrue!! Remember its just not about Sunderland (when looking up the table), there are a clutch of clubs all around 18/19/20 points.
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Roberts and Benni as a partnership does work, it worked during Benni's first season to great effect.
Iceman Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Is it me or is the RAM partnership up front, looking good today or what?
LeChuck Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Anyone describe the goal please I just lost my fox sports picture Ball in to McCarthy about 35 yards out, he back heels it to Roberts who knocks it round the defender to go one-on-one, his shot is saved but the rebound comes to McCarthy who puts it between two players stood on the line. Actually one of those players should have stopped it, but the build up was great. Edit: I see what the earlier poster meant about Trevor Francis' commentating, he really is annoying. The guy alongside him seems okay though.
Pinch Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 BFS, I take back everything I ever said about you. G'waaaan Rovers! Benni Mc reincarnated! Ha, ha...I was thinking the exact same.

3recurring Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Onwards and upwards. Underachievers R US - it's about flippin' time someone reminded our team of just how good they can be. G'waaan Big Sam!!!
joey_big_nose Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Stella performance from McCarthy and stoke have contributed to the their own downfall by being extremely offensive. But our defending in numbers and deep has been good, and the support for our strikers from midfield. I thought McCarthy may suffer at the hands of Allardyce as he is not a worker. He has come out and run his socks off. Excellent work. Santa who?
