Majiball Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 At least now Newcastle look like chalking up their first win Barton can shave off that stupid looking moustache.

Stuart Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 The Villa have just been given an absolute battering Newcastle had 20 shots (Villa 1), 14 on target (Villa 1), 6-0. Hat trick for Carroll.
Mozzer Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 andy carroll is quality - hes got most things about him can see him being in england squad very soon
BuckyRover Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Isn't Carroll more likely to find himself in jail rather than the England squad?
1864roverite Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Vintage Scholes goal, absolute class finish
Backroom Tom Posted August 22, 2010 Backroom Posted August 22, 2010 How the hell have Newcastle beaten villa 6-0? Surely villa aren't that bad, if the caretaker manager had any aspirations of getting the job they must be gone now.
Backroom Tom Posted August 22, 2010 Backroom Posted August 22, 2010 As an aside has fergie put out a weakened team at fulham on purpose or through injuries? Seems madness if he's resting people already.
jim mk2 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Carroll is a thug and a very ordinary player. Villa must have been desperately poor today to allow him to score.
Blue blood Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Brum under Cheung was always going to be a wait and see case after the way he failed to raise the cash first time to buy out Gold and Sullivan. What is good is the Prem are now acting ahead of potential problems but if that story is accurate, Brum and their holding company taken together are technically insolvent. What happens if Cheung cannot give the requisite quality of assurance? Interesting. There was a fair bit of fuss at the Brum game about Cheung - what with the chinese music before hand and him and his mates coming out onto the pitch. Saw him and a number of his mates wandering round the pitch before the game (to be fair he took the who are you chants in good humour, assuming he understood it). I wonder if he was trying to drum up fresh investment? How the hell have Newcastle beaten villa 6-0? Surely villa aren't that bad, if the caretaker manager had any aspirations of getting the job they must be gone now. Shows how bad West Ham's loss against them last week really was. Clearly things aren't right there. Newcastle are hardly world beaters.
Backroom Tom Posted August 22, 2010 Backroom Posted August 22, 2010 Apparently there is a design problem with the new fulham shirts and they are retaining sweat. In the first half the players looked like they had water poured over them. Massive oversight by kappa, someone will be for the chop
Backroom DE. Posted August 22, 2010 Backroom Posted August 22, 2010 6-0 ffs... imagine the reaction on here if Newcastle had beaten us 6-0. Managerless or not that's an absolutely appalling result for Villa against a very, very average Newcastle side.
Backroom Tom Posted August 22, 2010 Backroom Posted August 22, 2010 Shocking refereeing from Peter Walton, the most blatant shirt pulling you'll ever see by Vidic on Dembele in clear view but no penalty given.
American Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 United should have sold Vidic when they had the chance to get good money for him.
Backroom Tom Posted August 22, 2010 Backroom Posted August 22, 2010 Then Walton gives the softest penalty ever to united for handball. Big team bias confirmed. Another penalty saved this weekend It gets worse he has denied fulham a penalty for a handball, the guy is a joke. Another edit: hangeland makes amends with an equaliser
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Fulham play some really nice football at times, wish we played like that...

Backroom Tom Posted August 22, 2010 Backroom Posted August 22, 2010 It hit his hand for me. Neither should have been a pen but if you give one you have to give the other Edit: just rewound it, your right it hit his thigh sorry. Still the dembele pen was blatant
American Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Agree with that, but the keeper was off the line for the saved penalty. All in all, glad Fulham got the equaliser because a draw was deserved.
philipl Posted August 22, 2010 Author Posted August 22, 2010 Cracking game- delighted for Sparky and Fulham to have got a point off the Mancs.
Guest Kamy100 Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Very happy for Mark Hughes, with Fulham he is going to show that he is a very good football manager. Thought that Fulham played some decent football. Cracking match. Newcastle are an average side, Villa were desperately poor, very dis-organised at the back.
John Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Sparky has inherited a good squad at Fulham - they have a decent mix of solid physical players along with others who are technically good and can pass the ball. In Zamora they have a decent striker too. With players like Murphy, Davies and Duff, they play attractive football which is always a bonus.
1864roverite Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Arsenal have agreed a deal with Seville for scillaci - having a medical tomorrow in London.
