T4E Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Well I'll continue calling it the Nou Camp, like many others do,especially if it annoys you. Don't confuse annoyance with disdain for ignorance.

Uddersfelt Blue Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 He said: "We don't think that the Champions League final is overpriced. hmmm really!! What a rip off (much like the Olympics!) Last year I went to the Europa Cup final (not the same cup I know before anyone says), and those tickets were €40 which included free local transport. I also applied for Champs League Final tickets, and I cannot remember exactly how much they were - they definitely were nowhere near much because I wouldn't have applied!! Unfortunately folk will pay the exhorbitant prices being asked just because it's a prestige event and it will be sold out No doubt the English FA will be getting a big fat cut of the ticket money.
CAPT KAYOS Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Unfortunately folk will pay the exhorbitant prices being asked just because it's a prestige event and it will be sold out No doubt the English FA will be getting a big fat cut of the ticket money. Added to that UB, the majority that do will probably have only a passing interest if any at all in the teams that reach it. The other laughable being - £26 administration fee - wtf More fool the people who pay it - however unlikely it would be I wouldn't even if Rovers ever got to a C/L final.
SouthAussieRover Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Don't confuse annoyance with disdain for ignorance. You're boring me now. You're going on ignore until the next time you're banned.
bazza Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Its called the Camp Nou, not the Nou Camp. It's like saying we play at Park Ewood. And Ewood Park is sited alongside the Darwen River, is it? Someone could also say it's called Bayern Munchen not Bayern Munich, yet people still say the latter. I'm sure you've done too. The Anglicised version of it has been in common parlance for decades. Quite right. I still call Sevilla (Sebeeya) Seville. As in The Barber of.........
T4E Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 You're boring me now. You're going on ignore until the next time you're banned. I guess that means I'll have to unblock your PMs to be able to talk to you
RibbleValleyRover Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 1-0 Barca. Nice finish by Messi, stupid mistake by Fabregas.
Ozz Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 No idea why Arsenal seem allergic to just giving it a hoof from time to time. They would be 0-0 now if they did.
adopted scouser Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 It's a falling down competition, bunch of pansies
Backroom Tom Posted March 8, 2011 Backroom Posted March 8, 2011 It's a falling down competition, bunch of pansies Wilshere is winning that competition so far
adopted scouser Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 They're all as bad, tempted to turn it off but I want to watch it. Grrrrr
True Blue & White Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 See Fabregas 'standing on' Valdes when Arsenal got a corner, I wonder where they learnt that from? Quick tip Mr Wenger, it works best when the player isn't a foot shorter than the goalie!
RibbleValleyRover Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Arsenal back in this o.g. Busquets? Right after Villa should have scored. Van Persie sent off!
SamTheShrew Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 All the fuss about RVP before the game, and he gets an early bath
Balwer Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Is the referee on the Barcelona payroll? The ref who paid the Barcelona 'free kick' that should have been a penalty you mean?
Wiggy Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Another spectacle ruined, no doubt, by bizarre refereeing!
Billy Castell Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Come on Barca. I don't buy the 'support English teams' thing.
Commondore Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Very soft red card, but still you have to put some blame on van Persie. He reaped what he had sown with two stupid, childish acts.
True Blue & White Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 So not content with stealing our corner tactics, Arsenal are now using Scotland's striker-less formation from the Czech game.
Raymond Rover Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Ref needs to put his Barca shirt on now, he ain't fooling anyone!
SouthAussieRover Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 The ref who paid the Barcelona 'free kick' that should have been a penalty you mean? The whole game not just one incident.
Balwer Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 The whole game not just one incident. Can't say I agree with you. The only dubious decision was RVP's second yellow which was probably a bit harsh but RVP put himself in that situation with his earlier petulance. Penalty was clear cut, both the other goals were onside and like I said before they probably should have had a penalty in the first half when Messi was brought down in the area.
T4E Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Barca should have had three penalties, and Van Persie should have gone for the facepalm on Alves. Alan Smith on Sky claiming the game was ruined by the sending off. How many times did Van Persie touch the ball? Barca are miles above anyone else, they tore Arsenal apart at will. Glad the Clasico final is still on.
