Would about pinching some of the SEM boys soon out of contract - Larsson, Elmander etc....all with prem experience & go to fit straight in?

I'm very happy if the Larsson links are genuine, as he's a good player. He is a similar type of player to the MGP of old though in that crosses, set pieces and work rate are his thing, but I don't think anyone had a problem with the 2004-2007 or so Morten. Or perhaps Beckham is a better comparison.

Elmander is in a way Roberts-like. Not as strong but better technique/finishing; he's still a player who's main asset is power, work-rate, pace (Not all that quick, but great at those long lung-bursting type of runs). Like Roberts he'll look unstoppable at times and will score crucial winners, but will also miss sitters and have dry spells. It depends on the money involved; would work well in the role Roberts/Benjani occupy, but I don't think a deal would be value for money.
