Jason Puncheon was going to Newcastle to sign a six-month loan deal.

Blackpool offered him a full-time move en route.

He goes to Blackpool.

Superb business by Rovers today and the window in general. 2 experienced players (Jones and Roque) and 2 exciting youngsters (Rochina and Formica). Talk of long term deals for likes of Samba and Robinson, in addition to new contracts for Salgado, Nelson and Roberts.

Also good to see Tom Finn in the photo of Formica signing the contract.

Anyone fancy throwing a wild card out there? There's always a strange one that happens last minute!

I'll go for Stephen warning to Liverpool. It hasn't been mentioned all day but Liverpool a LB short!

Delighted. Keano has got his men and (presuming Samba signs), re-signed a bunch of vital players. Looking forward to seeing what Formica and Rochina have to offer.

Much happier with our transfer policy thus far, compared to some of the debacles that other clubs have gone through with new owners.

Once we get rid of Zurab, Righters and a few others in the summer, our squad will look alot more balanced.

I think this has been a great transfer window for Rovers and hopefully a sign of things to come! It has been really refreshing to be involved in transfers again and not just be worrying about players leaving...we have two young lads and 2 others with more experience but all 4 appear to be of a higher qaulity and actually improve the sqaud rather than just fill gaps!!

Well done to the team for getting the players in and I hope that some members of this forum who were quick to have a pop at Venkys are big enough to accept that this window has been a success and maybe, just maybe, these guys arent as bad as they are made out?

I feel Rovers have done well.......but you look around at clubs like Villa and Brum and they've done equally well if not better....it's been a very strange window! Darren Bent looks like an absolute steal now! Looking forward to seeing Formica, hope we throw him in vs Spuds!

Blackpool may regret not selling Adam for 7m+.....

he's a good player but he won't sign a new contract and won't get as much for him in the summer!

Really pleased to see we have strengthened the squad in this window rather than having to sell as per last few years. Hope the 2 new lads can settle and do the business.

Its been a strange one. Would agree that a number of clubs such as Bolton, Birmingham, Villa and even West Ham have brought a few better players in. Think Newcastle may struggle if the Big Lad goes to the Scousers. Everton also may well be looking downwards rather upwards to the end of the season.

Got my money on Wolves, Blackpool and West Brom going down. Rovers for Europe!!
