RoverInverness Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 I know I may be delving into the realms of fantasy by suggesting that the Raos are capable of making any rational decisions, or by thinking for even a second that they have any capacity for long term planning. But perhaps, just perhaps, Mrs. D has realised that there is no point in firing Kean until she has a director of football in place. A new manager would have to work under this guy, so there really is no point in firing him until that appointment is made.
MarkBRFC Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Big time - look at last season's performances and results under Kean. I'd suggest if he was a "big time" failure then we would have gone down last season. So whilst you can argue that he probably is failing at his job, he can't be classed as a total failure just yet.

Yes and the Titanic mearly floundered for some time before begining its controlled submerging.
MarkBRFC Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Yes and the Titanic mearly floundered for some time before begining its controlled submerging. To be fair, that means nothing. What i said was correct, i can't say i have much confidence in him keeping us afloat next season though, but we shall have to see.
MarkBRFC71 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 'old fool' is it? I think you need to be taught some manners. Oh, the irony.
Amo Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 There is no myth Topman apart from the one in your imagination. Allardyce is 4th/5th in the list of current managers with most Premier League matches under their belt. Even a complete fool knows that no one survives that long in the Premier League without masses of managerial quality and a real talent for the job. The Premier League has devoured many managers, to survive for so long takes a special ability. Funny how we've survived in the PL for... how long was it now? Yet I forget that Sam Allardyce is the only manager who could ever manage Rovers ever. Full stop. We might as well closed the club down after he left OR... and here's a crazy thought... merge with our local rivals to make one Lancastrian superpower! Now there's an idea! Your arguments have become so thin that you are entering the realm of fantasy. God only knows what rubbish you will be spouting by the time the clocks normally go back. Love you too, sugar.
roverandout Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 yes cruz by november things MAY be different and come november i MIGHT have sh*gged Jessica Biel but we all know that aint going to happen.
Teacup Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 For those who watched the Asia Cup matches, what do you think about the style of football Kean is trying to make us play? I think we should be pressing more, harder and faster. Also our players need to pass and(then) move more.
Andy Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Its difficult to judge from pre-season games, as it's more about the fitness but I think he seems to be persisting with the short passing style, which is certainly more eye-pleasing than what we played under Big Sam. However, it's about winning not how pretty we play, so I couldn't care less if we were playing proper long-ball (a la Wimbledon in the 90's), Sam's direct stuff or Kean's fancy passing as long as we win games.
rebelmswar Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I personally find the ball going in the net and our players celebrations more pleasing to the eye than an infinite number of short triangular passing. If I would want to watch that I would go to a daycare and watch three toddlers sit on their nappies and roll a ball to each other.
Teacup Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I guess I didn't phrase the question properly. Nevermind.
chaddyrovers Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 roversinsider Blackburn Rovers Spy KEAN...contradicting reports all day. Don't want to post until i know for certain. Some people will be happy if either is correct #Rovers roversinsider Blackburn Rovers Spy KEAN...Hearing there have been and are some interesting conversations happening at the moment. Trying to get more info, had... #Rovers Could be very interest news depend on what the news is!
Andy Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 There's been too many false dawns about Kean's sacking to get excited, sadly

Too near the start of the season - but on the other hand, maybe worth the risk getting rid of him. Only if a decent replacement was brought in.
philipl Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 What is he doing in Pune when there are transfers to complete and kick off 12 days away?
Kamy100 Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I doubt that this is true, mainly because Jason Roberts who is out in Pune is talking in glowing terms about the plans that the owners have, I doubt that would be the case if Kean was being sacked.

Jase is nearly in Kean's class as a bullsh1tter. If they can sack Sam and replace him with Kean then ..................... Only joking !!! I think !!!
imy9 Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Roberts is a genuinely nice bloke, certainly not a bullshi****.
heysham rover Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Well according to the font of all knowledge 'roversinsider' Kean may or may not be removed from his position. Glad to see he is covering all bases there
philipl Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 roversinsider Blackburn Rovers Spy KEAN...told by a different source that he was simply travelling to help Balaji with his list. Had neither confirmed #Rovers 4 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply roversinsider Blackburn Rovers Spy KEAN...for those interested I got told yesterday that he was going to be removed from his position & to be offered a different role #Rovers ...of course both could be true but both underline how utterly clueless Balaji is.
Ricky Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 How does kean going to help balaji with his list make Balaji clueless. Surely it's only right that the manager has an input. Wouldn't you be complaining more if Kean (the manager) hadn't had some input.

This is simply spoilt brat self-indulgence by Balaji which I suspect will end in tears.
