rebelmswar Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 What a shift by Jermaine jones awesome performance Agree. Running with cramp and all.
jimw1988 Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Samba pushing Salgado, just what we don't need! passion!! its exactly what we need!
RibbleValleyRover Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Every Rovers fan will take that, a point against a team that's far superior. Arsenal looked a bit flat today but that doesn't take away from the lads performance. Robbo made some outstanding saves, Emerton put in a great shift, both Jones were all over the pitch, Hoilett and Olsson (what a block) were also superb. Still vital we win the Brum game coming up, we should take some confidence going into that game after today's performance especially defensively.
Mr. E Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 This result is about 10X more shocking than us getting tonked by Manchester.
roverwhelmed Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 We'll stay up if we carry on playing like this. Absolutely proud as punch.
booth Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 passion!! its exactly what we need! It would have been more than passion had the ref not stopped Salgado getting to Samba! 0-0 And for anyone saying we have bad fans for booing at Ewood, how bad are Arsenal fans for booing!?!?
Mr C Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Well, that was rather marvellous, wasn't it? For the first time in months a teeny, weeny bit of a feel good factor. I think I'll have a half of shandy!
Stuart Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Epic! Well done Rovers. With fight like that we have a chance. Proud.
beerwins Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Well done the lads, and well done Kean. Very proud of that performance.
andyroversmad Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Can't say nothing bad about the team today thats a massive point for us. Jermaine Jones is a machine
OsloRover Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 What a precious point that was. Excellent performance, especially by JJ.
Amo Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I'm sure the players will get the credit. Or the fans. Or the spirit of John Williams. But not the manager.
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 Superb boys, proud tonight. Jermaine Jones take a bow also Martin Olsson legend for that block
Paul Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Amazed, absolutely amazed. Anything less than 4 - 0 would have been a bonus. This a VERY BIG point. Well played Rovers.
patrickvalery Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Absolutely first class. People will say what they like about Steve Kean. But the players are clearly fighting his corner. For me, that is all that matters at this moment in time. We might not have piced up the points we would have under Allardyce, but this bunch have still got the fight to keep us up. I am such a proud proud Rovers fan tonight.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Problem is Nzonzi out for three games ? Jones hopefully only cramp - but yet again we are starting to look light in midfield. Jones and Jones in midfield could keep us up. Also - lets have a little respect for Kean. To be honest he set the team up as I would - with only one up front - and we have come out with a well deserved point. Next the real acid test - we need to beat Birmingham to make this point really count.
tony gale's mic Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 That was worth FAR more than one point. IMO the confidence from this will play a massive role in the rest of our fixtures starting with the crucial Birmingham game.
