OhmiBRFC Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 In the first he missed a very blatant handball. Foy was looking directly at the player (think it was Ferguson) and let the game carry on.

ABBEY Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 slept on it ,calmed down too but if i see foy im gonna nut the cheating get.
Exiled_Rover Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I can't even remember our LAST penaly, dodgy or otherwise, at Ewood. The last dodgy decision I can remember Rovers getting is when Pedersen punched the ball over the line against Newcastle. That was five or six years ago now though.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 10, 2011 Moderation Lead Posted April 10, 2011 With how bad the standard of refereeing has been lately against Rovers, you start to wonder if there's a conspiracy! Foy was unbelievably bad yesterday, the incident where Jerome was meant to kick it back to Robbo, then he took ages so Salgado did it instead, then he pulled it back summed him up yesterday!
dazmaz Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I can't even remember our LAST penaly, dodgy or otherwise, at Ewood. Not sure at Ewood, but the last dodgy penalty we had was vs Dingles at the dingledome
Hughesy Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Not sure at Ewood, but the last dodgy penalty we had was vs Dingles at the dingledome Martin Olsson Took a dive Took a dive, took a dive Martin Olsson took a dive He hates burnley
ABBEY Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 another two RESPECT decisions again, roberts and an offside goal.
heysham rover Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Kalinic should have gone down when thumped from behind in the dying minutes too
roversmum Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 We should have been at least six points for the better if so many dodgy decisions had not been taken recently.
ABBEY Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 Kalinic should have gone down when thumped from behind in the dying minutes too roberts did and nowt done apart from us again.
Gav Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 another two RESPECT decisions again, roberts and an offside goal. You can't blame the refs for our current position really, but we've had some terrible decisions go against us. Those two last night, no doubt about either for me, but Kalinic's was never a penalty.
ABBEY Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 in the cold light of day you can gav, take away kean from the equation and look at video evidence and the points weve been dicked by refs ,include dodgy sending offs (match bans) and id say we would be 100% safe now.I know what you say and all that but facts are facts ,weve been ref raped this season.
dazmaz Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Lets not forget what should of been a red for kicking out (yaya I think) plus several 2nd bookings that never happened
Stuart Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Kalinic should have gone down when thumped from behind in the dying minutes too People and pundits alike, all complain when players dive but I'm convinced that unless they do, they do not get the decision. Referees failure to spot a foul because a player tries to stay on his feet is what is causing move savvy players to fall over easily. Saying that, I'm convinced the referee last night was biased - Kali could have given the most convincing fall ever and the penalty would not have been given. At one point he was stood three yards away and watched a City player push our player in the back and didn't even flinch.
roversmum Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 We had a neutral with us and he said he had never seen such biased refereeing.
ABBEY Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 another thing on show last night was the refs KEANess to get the card out quickly for us,cant remeber for the life of me who got booked for us near bbe pen area, but the ref sprinted from the riverside and nearly fell over trying to get the yellow out of his back sack 25m before he reached him ,yet when it was city he ambled over and appeared to apologise before reaching for the card.
Steve Moss Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I'm obviously biased but there is in my opinion a serious problem with PL referees.
RevidgeBlue Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I'm obviously biased but there is in my opinion a serious problem with PL referees. You really see the difference in some of the Champions League ties. Some of the foreign refs don't seem to give a monkey's chuff if it's Ryan Giggs or Wayne Rooney or John Terry or Drogba or whoever. The Man Ure players seem to be outraged and can't believe they don't get the same cushy treatment they get in Premier League games. The ITV and Sky Sports commentators seem to be similarly outraged and can't believe it either!
gumboots Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 We had a neutral with us and he said he had never seen such biased refereeing. Against Birmingham? the neutral we had with us said the same then. 2 matches, 2 neutrals observe the same bias. Pity nobody looks into these things seriously
Backroom Tom Posted April 27, 2011 Backroom Posted April 27, 2011 It's weird I thought the ref was kind to us at the time on Monday but I didn't really see the penalty incident. He gave us free kicks when Roberts made no attempt to go for the ball and was backing into his man a few times, Olsson took a couple of dives and won free kicks as well. He also showed common sense in just giving the ball back to Robbo after one of their bouts of time wasting, stark contrast to Foy last week. He missed a few like a blatant kick on Benjani as he went to clear in the first half but we've had far worse and I imagine we will have worse in the 4 remaining games.
thenodrog Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Didn't know where to put this so I've put it here. Respect needs to work in all areas. Daft thing is is that if the keeper had reacted and thumped the kid back he'd be in deep sh1t. http://www.parentdish.co.uk/2011/04/27/schoolgirl-gives-goalkeeper-two-fingers/?icid=main|uk-ws-bb|dl8|link4|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.parentdish.co.uk%2F2011%2F04%2F27%2Fschoolgirl-gives-goalkeeper-two-fingers%2F If any of them had been my kids they'd not dare come home! My belt would be waiting.
Stuart Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 That kind of behaviour is becoming more and more common. Their parents probably don't give an S-H-one-T either. Custodial sentences, large fines and lifetime bans from all matches for them, and their parents. Stick them in stocks for the next home game too. Public humiliation. I'm not even being sarcastic.
ABBEY Posted May 2, 2011 Author Posted May 2, 2011 eeeeeeee no controversial decisions and we win, would ya credit it

She knows it too, hence it would never happen (said hoping not to tempt fate )
