Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Another injury to an Arsenal centre half. Let's hope they bid for Cahill and Jagielka before they think about Samba.

chaddyrovers Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Jags and Cahill plus Dann are all ahead of Samba in Wenger thinking.
Amo Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 So you think I'm bring über-cynical on this? I love the use of the umlaut. That takes real panache.
Blackburn Ravers Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 kevingallacher8 Kevin Gallacher Rumoured to be #samba not travelled and koscielny just injured at arsenal! 2+2 = hope this isnt true
Guest ljb Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 samba not travelled with squad today he is gone we have to accept it
tony gale's mic Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 kevingallacher8 Kevin Gallacher Rumoured to be #samba not travelled and koscielny just injured at arsenal! 2+2 = hope this isnt true Well, either way, Samba not travelling wouldnt have anything remotely to do with Koscielny getting injured today.
pick32 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Samba has been training all week if he isn't in the team he is as good as gone. If he leave we will need to spend around 10million minimum on the defense or i think it will be certain relegation.
Guest ljb Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 we got to go in for scott dann and pay what Birmingham want for him, and not some 2 million of the fee we get for samba on a foreign player we have not heard of and hope that he makes the grade ,we need a premiership EXPERIENCED centre half
Backroom Tom Posted August 20, 2011 Backroom Posted August 20, 2011 He might not be fully fit? No excuse not to be there with his teammates though!
tony gale's mic Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Really poor show if we sell Samba. I was getting optimistic with these potential signings, but selling our proven players and bringing in players with no PL experience is a recipe for disaster. Samba is worth far more to this club than just his individual performances on the pitch. There's no way we can justify selling Samba unless we get a ridiculous fee or he has some clause we don't know about. The guy's signed a recent long term contract so we should hold all the aces here.
Emge Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Liverpool got a easy second goal now. Im in no doubt they will buy Samba now. Put your money on it!
Miker Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Haha didn't see the game tonight because I was out with the missus (she knows next to nothing about football). After checking the team sheet on my phone, our conversation went like this: Me: "That's not good. Samba's not playing." Her: "Why?" Me: "Possibly because there's clubs wanting to buy him and he might leave." Her: "So they're hiding him...?" Quality.
Hughesy Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Today and last saturday showed one thing for me - We NEED Samba and he is by FAR our best defender....keep at all costs
beastlove Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 He is off. Everything points to a player who is going to leave. Not played, not featured in clubs promotional material, not spoken to the press. Let's face it he is off
A cup of beans Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Today and last saturday showed one thing for me - We NEED Samba and he is by FAR our best defender....keep at all costs agreed, Hughesy. even an unhappy Samba is worth far more to rovers as a player than any reported transfer fee or 10-12M!
PAFELL Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Today and last saturday showed one thing for me - We NEED Samba and he is by FAR our best defender....keep at all costs It just shows how bad things really are. Samba injured, suspendended and with no back up, we hand 3 points to the other team.
A cup of beans Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Scumbag. He must go, immediately. scumbag ? very harsh T4E! are you confident he'll be replaced with a top defender ???
graddomi88 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Just incase anyone missed it, Andy Cryer said on Twitter that Samba was at the game today.

arbitro Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Samba and Givet should hang their heads in shame. Samba with his phantom injury and Givet with his 'hiccups' make me sick. With only a few training sessions and (to my knowledge) no games behind him Ryan Nelsen performed heroically today. He was blowing out of his backside after fifteen minutes but still pushed himself to the absolute limit. Now you two malingerers that is bottle, a commodity that you two are sadly lacking.
jasperbrfc Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Also confirmed by Gally on twitter. Also conformed by Kean on Radio Lancashire.
beerwins Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 It just shows how bad things really are. Samba injured, suspendended and with no back up, we hand 3 points to the other team. I dont agree with that, we are without a leader from the clubs boardroom right down to the players on the pitch. The owners are useless, the manager is a coach that treats everybody with kid gloves and on the pitch the players are totally not interested. I think even Samba would struggle to get our lads playing at the moment. Kean is too soft to let him and Givet sit at home playing Fifa on the xbox when they should be on the pitch.
