broadsword Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Lay off the rovers fans. LT editorial. Well done! The latest noise coming from Ewood suggests Venky’s are looking to bring a ‘big name signing’ to East Lancashire to appease the fans. Forget the gimmicks. When will they realise we just want the club run properly? DAMN WELL SAID!

Mattyblue Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 The media is spinning this against us as I suspected they would. Gives Venkys all they need to keep the prick in the job they hired him to do. It's simple isn't it, he is staying cos they want him to lead the sell off in January. Any new manager coming in would be dead set against that and that would screw up the chicken ###### master plan now wouldn't it. Simply put I hate the illegitimates Wait for it: 'Junior wanted to play at the top level right away, we arent there just yet, but we will be, the owners are going to invest and we want some bodies in fast ' Steve Kean, January 2012.
Black Burn Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Um...I thought the latest news were suggesting that Steve Kean is a dead man walking and the only person barring his sacking is Mrs. Desai. All the other people, including the Rao brothers, want him sacked and replaced. That's what I read from the news anyway. Even if he is here for the games against Liverpool and Manchester United, a new manager will be taking over in January. They seem to be trying really hard to convince a reluctant Mark Hughes to return to managing Blackburn Rovers while persuading Mrs. Desai to get rid of Kean. But the rumor about Venkys wanting to buy a new player instead of keeping Kean - I haven't seen that published in the media anywhere except Alan Nixon's tweets.
Ferrit Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 No surprise Whiskey Nose is sticking up for him now. Alot of people involved in football should be straight up ashamed of their selves after criticising out fans this week, that's the only disgrace. Are they so detached from fans that they don't realise what's going on? As if anyone actually gives a **** about your opinion on the matter Ferguson, you clown. It annoys me the way he talks as though he's the defining judgement on the situation. Do us all a favour and retire, ******* *******.
Mattyblue Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Are they so detached from fans that they don't realise what's going on? Yes.
Backroom DE. Posted December 23, 2011 Backroom Posted December 23, 2011 This is the same Alex Ferguson who walked off in a strop after a reporter dared ask at a press conference whether United were struggling in Europe you don't know what dignity is, Ferguson.
Mattyblue Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Kean has played a blinder. Every presser he is nothing but pleasant, positive, never slags off other managers, rarely slags off refs. He stands there on the touchline with that gomrless expression, as we abuse the hell out of him If that is all you see of him, you will think he has 'dignity'. Of course, no mention of his part in the Allardyce sacking, the fact his agent helped the purchase of the club and was a key advisor, the fact he told fans to confront each other in the stands, his lies, the fact he blamed fans for spiking his drink, the fact he knows he is sending the club down but will carry on. Clever, clever bloke.

Clever, clever bloke. He's certainly got the victim act down to a tee. My uncle called me during the Bolton game and said that Kean was a 'nice bloke' and didn't deserve abuse. He thought differently when I told him about the drink-driving charge.
broadsword Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 If they can't afford to sack him, then he can't be hanging on for his golden goodbye. Which means he's turning up for his salary. We could have years more of this ######.
John Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Keans agent is also clever at what he does - clearly we don't like it but he's a clever one.
roverandout Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 blacburn rovers fans are the big bad wolf and steve kean is the lickle itty bitty red riding hood
Puffsan Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 i dont understand why so many backs him, even successful managers like fergie. His results speaks for itself. The chants were mostly kean out, sunderland fans called bruce a "fat geordie illegitimate." High profiled players on the big teams have been called a lot worse than that by other fans. Rovers fan have kept it mostly professional. Kean out, not any personal attack on him, but an attack on him as a manager an his results. all norwegian pl journalists and experts thinks he is a joke, and one of them even said steve kean's press conferences is the highlight of the week. Why can't the majority of english journalists and experts see that too?
MarkBRFC71 Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 PaulPlunkett66 Paul Plunkett Fergie on Kean: "It is terrible to watch that. It doesn't say a lot for our society nowadays when you see that kind of behaviour from fans. PaulPlunkett66 Paul Plunkett Fergie on Kean: "I tried to phone him the other day but he is probably right to keep it off. For goodness sake, give the lad a break." I'd take anything that tosspot has to say on the subject with a pinch of salt. Still bitter and twisted about Shearer and us winning the league in 1995 - he'd love nothing more than to see us go down.
BigAlan Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Have I missed something or has someone banjoed Kean? I'm struggling to remember any chants that have been sung that are actually insulting. "time to go Keano", "Kean out". "we want our Rovers back". Etc. Not exactly up there with the deplorable Munich chants are they? The fans who sung those chants are the "disgusting" ones. We just want our club run properly and the evidence is all there for all these moron managers defending him. We truly are a despised little club. Us against the rest then

Clever, clever bloke. I've been saying this for ages - you don't pull off a stunt like this by being thick. Everything he says is calculated to have an effect: either hard luck stories for his boss in Pune or attracting the abuse like a magnet for the players to see him as their human shield. He knows he'll never get another job so is hoping against hope that things turn around in this one.

He knows he'll never get another job so is hoping against hope that things turn around in this one. In a properly run club it would never have come to this - as soon as it became obvious that things were going wrong and the manager had lost the fans then he would have been removed. the reason it looks so bad is because he's still there. Nothing, absolutely nothing could persuade me (and i suspect the vast majority of other Rovers fans) now that he is the right manager for Rovers but he's still here and so the protests go on. No manager should have to go through it say the other managers - they are correct but Kean doesn't have to either. If Mrs Desai genuinely liked him she'd get him out. If his agent cared about him, he'd pull him out. If kean cared he'd resign. If he cared for his family he'd resign. The problem is not us - it's them!!!!!!

"Well said Fergie, I'm with you 100%. Now put your money where your mouth is and give him a high level job at United." When Kean is eventually out of work I will be interested to see if Moyes, Coyle, Ferguson, Redknapp or Pardew re-employ Kean. Them being humanitarians and all that.

sijoco Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Exactly, when Kean eventually does do one, it'll be interesting to see how many of these gobsh*** managers are willing to offer him a position when he's on the dole and pretty much unemployable. I'd bet NONE of them would take a punt on him and because of this l'll take what Droopy and his Scottish mates say with a truck full of salt.
BigAlan Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Just watching Premiership Years 94-95. I don't know why I'm doing this to myself but, it just showed the Norwich fans protesting against Robert Chase. I thought we were the only team that had ever protested against anyone. Poor little Steve
John Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 "@jezbutler: Kean defiant as always at Rovers presser. He is going nowhere. Paul Robinson has a small tear in his calf and is doubtful #brfc #rovers"
