Stuart Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 I know, in the summer, the reporting lines from the doctors/physios changed in that they were to report directly to Steve Kean - previously they reported to someone on the board. Generally, reporting directly to the manager is regarded as a conflict of interest. Contrary to what some people said on here this DID lead to a departure from the club - I know, because I viewed the correspondence involved in relation to it. John, not doubting you but do you have any documentary evidence to support this that you could provide to Krypton's venkyleaks website? - under the section "Kean Knows Best".

John Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 John, not doubting you but do you have any documentary evidence to support this that you could provide to Krypton's venkyleaks website? - under the section "Kean Knows Best". No, because it would get others (and myself) into trouble.....
Stuart Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Fair enough but it's so depressing how "the new club" can seemingly do whatever they like and are protected by the law or people's fear of the potential consequences. How did we get here? (Money).
Amo Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Made the mistake of visiting the offish site, only to find Kean's sh*t eating grin waiting for me. He really couldn't give a damn what happens to this club. It's all win-win for him.

BRFC1995 Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Like you Topman, He has four kids to feed. £25,000 per week........they'll never starve will we ever know what the deal was that made him manager Must have been along the lines of if you never question the owners direction for the club we will give you this oppurtunity that you could never dream of getting through honest means and on your merits. He needs to be caught drink driving without his license and jailed to force the hand of sacking him although even in that situation i still think they'd keep his job open till he was released. Only bright spot on the horizon if we go bust.....he does'nt get compo. Love supporting rovers hate steve kean.
chris Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 sh*t I don't even think Topman's married haha the only way to get ride of Kean is for him to go to jail, thats probably true. No matter what happens he will always have an excuse, and he thinks he's doing an fantastic job still, crazy loon.
Ferrit Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 I see the in bred Wigan fans have also been sticking the oar in on Soccer Saturday. Maybe they should worry about their own **** club.
booth Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Should never forget the idiots that have called us. What goes around comes around. Them Wigan fans will one day get new owners.
Rovermatt Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 I've just seen Kean on SSN claiming that he is in fact doing a 'superb' job given the circumstances (circumstances to which he has clearly contributed) because David Moyes and Alex Ferguson say so. Is this guy on drugs? Seriously, what kind of man ignores his own horrific record and relies on the patronage of managers who clearly want shot of Rovers? Again, nobody is putting the hard questions to him. That Venky's are the main problem was only hinted at in the powder puff piece.
BRFC1995 Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Tony Cottee has gone up in my expectations as has Thompson..........Merson however, what a prize troll that man is
Mr C Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Tony Cottee has gone up in my expectations as has Thompson..........Merson however, what a prize troll that man is For those of you not watching 'Gillette Soccer Special" Merson layed into Rovers fans calling us in his own almost incoherent way "scandalous" and "a disgrace" and "never having given Kean a chance". Failed to respond when Stelling told him about Kean's overall record. Cottee on the other hand said that fans were the most important people at a club and that Blackburn fans were good fans not noted for this sort of reaction. He continued by saying that if we were so unhappy then we must have good reason and that this needed to be sorted out ASAP.
adsfortheblues Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Tony Cottee has gone up in my expectations as has Thompson..........Merson however, what a prize troll that man is Why what was said mate?
thenodrog Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 talksport reporter described Keans treatment as unfair and unjustified. Prick! Cottee has it in a nutshell. Founder members of both leagues with no 'previous'. BRFc supporters obviously do not do this without good cause. Anybody with an ounce of intelligence can see our record under the slumdogs is horrific.
LDRover Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Merson was the cock amongst the 5 pundits there. Cottee spoke excellently, Thompson seemed sympathetic to our plight (even likening it to the LFC situation under Hodgson and the yanks), Stelling focused on Kean's record and Le Tiss pretty much the same. Two things they were all pretty much agreed on were the incompetency of the owners and that Kean should go.

[/quote Wonder if the fact that no Nicholas on the panel today was anything to do with the fact they actually brought up Keans record ? And Merson, what a pleb. He's been a critic of Kean in recent weeks but now its the fans fault.
Majiball Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Ah, makes sense now. Andersen would have been working at Arsenal as the announcer about the time Merson was playing there, so no wonder they are pals. I am glad the other pundits spoke out, personally I'd have told him to stop supporting his paymaster.

Bluefudge Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Let's not forget the pinnacle of his management career was Walsall !!!!
Gav Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Anybody with an ounce of intelligence can see our record under the slumdogs is horrific. The problem is the majority of 'football experts' such as Merson, are not even aware of our record under Kean and Venkys. For once Stelling redressed the balance and put Merson in his place
