RibbleValleyRover Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Guys listen to the podcast first. I asked questions he answered them and I probed on some of his answers. There was no pulling wool over my eyes or bring star struck, literally we just talked, yes there was buzz words but there were times he answered questions on stuff that wasn't previously in the public domain. Ultimately as fans we judge mamager's on results, and in that respect of course people are rightly very concerned, but take this on face value, kean/the club making efforts to talk directly to fans. With all due respect Kamy he is just telling fans what they want to hear. He doesn't give a fig about the fans not being happy, he said so the other day in that he is being backed by the owners and that's all that matters. Every week he comes out with rubbish that Rovers made so many incursions into the oppositions half or that we played well. Did we play well against Fulham? No Steve we ###### didn't, we were extremely lucky to get a point. I've listened to every podcast you have done so far Kamy but I will be giving this one a miss, kudos to you and the site for getting the interview and putting the effort in but I have heard enough BS from Kean to last a lifetime.

Mattyblue Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I know you are having a laugh there but I had a similar change of mind a while back due to finding out the effort that he was putting into the club (which made Nicko's pro-Kean views make sense), but as Kamy said statistics don't lie and I will judge him on that. He may be a nice fellow, but so are my mates and I wouldn't want them in charge of BRFC either. Effort? So he bloody should on his money.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 . However, I can be given a job as a pole dancer in a strip bar and no matter how much effort I put in men are still not going to put money in my thong. You never know rebel, wear that blue 'n' white one and your cup may overfloweth!
rebelmswar Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 You never know rebel, wear that blue 'n' white one and your cup may overfloweth! The bog in the men's room would overfloweth.

Mercer Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Kean is the ultimate bullsh1tter in my belief and I certainly wont be taken in by his apparent olive branch to the supporters. FFS - the guy's been in the job for over 9 months and just when he realises he's in deep sh1t, he wants to meet the fans !!! IMO, the guy is a fraud and totally untrustworthy. And, yes, I have had the misfortune to meet and chat with him when he was at Coventry with Coleman.

That's exactly the nonsense that he spouts that annoys me too, but to be fair Big Sam used to talk about "Entries into the opposition box". You do feel you are being treated like someone who who does not know this new football language they are speaking. Ultimately i deal in balls in the onion bag, canny argue with that one.

I can think of no other manager under the intense pressure that Kean has been under, TWO days before a march against him taking part in a no holds barred interview. He is also willing to meet and answer questions from the fans?! Morale and team spirit is high- Kamy saying it not Roberts or Samba. His record is appalling and there are a number of sticks that we can beat him with him as a manager but as a man he has gone up dramatically in my estimation.

Plenty of people tell porkies though mercerman, plenty of people are proven bullsh1tters also, those facts alone shouldn't hang a man should they

Emge Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I can think of no other manager under the intense pressure that Kean has been under, TWO days before a march against him taking part in a no holds barred interview. Because he isnt a manager? He is a coach, and nothing more! And the morale is probably high because there is a lack of dicipline in the squad. Imagine a class in school, the teacher is gone away and you have this vicar who is stepping in, and the class isnt as effective as it would be with the teachers presence. Not as effective, but happy cause they can do what they want! Allright, maybe not the best comparison, but we need a teacher!
glen9mullan Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Seen Keans words ect and seen want Kamy has said too, I don't share this view i'm sorry, its a results business he aint got them, He is what I call two faced, he sucks up to people in person, whilst doing opposite in background. Of course he will try and offer Q/A Sessions, interviews ect, his back is up against the wall, and he has been caught with his pants down, as this will all be on camera come Saturday, There is nowhere for him to hide, so what do they do? Try and play a PR card and hope fans buy it, Although g;ad he said the Marchers are behind the team 100%, it sort of dilutes his point :-) If Venkys do not remove him on his performance as manager ect, then come next week they will have more than the removal of Steve Kean to worry about as the press will have a brand new story to write, as everything will go on record, which I recieved today
roversmum Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Hm. My Granny always said it takes one to know one...

chaddyrovers Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,,12606_7179340,00.html Kean press conference today. Just bits from SS website
roversmum Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 This just gets worse. After all the things that have been said, I'm truly beginning to wonder about the motives of some. It seems to be going way beyond wanting a change of Manager. It's nasty, really nasty and not necessary.
imy9 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 He may like to meet you. As he may have a car to sell. He could sell bullsh-t back to bulls with his waffle Do you not see a pattern developing here Pafell? Nicko, Kamy and many other people who have met Kean and have talked to him state that he comes across as a genuine, decent bloke. Does that make him a good manager? Of course not, but these are not gullible people being taken in by him!

Apart from Kean out, there is only Venky's themselves, and lets face it they arent going anywhere.

thenodrog Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 This is what you get on here now, if you dont buy into the mob mentality 100%. Bullying and belittling stifles debate. Have you got a mirror in your house? If you have take a long look in it.
