AllRoverAsia Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Kean quotes from LET: “John worked very hard while he was here. You can measure results in different ways - your points, or your improvements, or the price that everyone is worth. We have a squad that is worth more money than it was six months ago.” At last Kean confirms that his main aim is get good resale values for players. It doesn't matter to Kean or Venky's if Rovers are relegated as long as we can sell-on players at a vast profit to Venky's.
Ricky Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Problem is if we get relegated the resale value goes out of the window as players go on the cheap. Birmingham would hve got more for Johnson, jerome, and Dann if theyd stayed in the prem so it should be important to them.
Bluefudge Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 'Close the back door, it's as simple as that' Our football genius of a manager said that on SSN 7.21am. If it's as simple as that why have we not done it since last December !!

You men eat your dinner Eat your pork and beans I eat more chicken Than any man ever seen, yeah, yeah I'm a back door man, wha..........
yoda Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 So Kean confirms that he's a back door man........ Yeah, I'm a back door man I'm a back door man... ... [/quote It would seem that Venkeys see Rovers as some sort of footballer factory farm. Get them in cheep, then fatten them up for market !
AllRoverAsia Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 It would seem that Venkeys see Rovers as some sort of footballer factory farm. Get them in cheep, then fatten them up for market ! Yes factory farming is their core business after all. Kean is a symptom but Venkys are the illness and we don't have a cure for that strain of chicken pox.
philipl Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Kean is offering up so many hostages to fortune now- so John Jensen was hard working but still got the sack; Mrs Desai please note. But the reality is, nobody believes a word Kean says anymore so it is all getting rather irrelevant and deeply pointless (apart from his driving license). I guess that so long as they can play Kean's carefully modulated Glaswegian burrr over the tannoys in the chicken sheds and the hens keep laying, Mrs Desai remains happy- "John plop Jensen plop plop was fired plop by plop plop the board" plop plop plop plop plop cluck off Kean
John Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Can't deny that he doesn't put the hours in, at QPR last Sunday and in Munich on Tuesday night.
Kamy100 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Agree John, he does work incredibly hard. If he isn't away watching upcoming opponents or scouting a player he arrives at Brockhall by 8.30 at the latest and is there till late. So he is a very hardworking manager, but he will always be judged on results, 6 wins out of 26 was always going to lead to the situation we have today with fans putting him under pressure.

But like Kean said yesterday Kamy, points don't matter. How anyone can be a successful manager with that mindset is beyond me.

Not having a pop at you John, but who cares and what relevance does it have to anything? I would love being paid to watch matches, its absolutely no hardship at all and I would much rather have a competent manager getting results but only working 3 hours a day, than this guy purporting to work round the clock. He gets in at 8.30am does he? Yippee! I start at 7am. Give the job to me, I am equally as unqualified.

I'd rather have a lazy b@st@rd who delivered results. Once worked for an orgainsation who questioned any individual who put in so much more time than was normal. They questioned their competence and their inability to see beyond the chicken sh1t issues.

A washing Machine works hard but I wouldnt have it as manager..........well maybe I would at the moment!

Depends on how you view results. Supporters view results from the football match result. But Kean views results on how much the squad is worth. “You can measure results in different ways – your points, your improvement, or the price that everyone is worth. And we have a squad worth more money than it was six months ago. This sums Kean and maybe the owners up. It is all about how much the squad is worth to both of them. Sheer madness.
ABBEY Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Today will define fitness levels with the freak heat.I've just walked down and it's melting me. Stamina will be tested.

I can't believe he actually said this. This guy... seriously... what a joker. Too bad no one's laughing.
RibbleValleyRover Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Kean being interviewed live on Soccer Saturday on SSN. Usual guff and comes across as a real slimy individual.

Then wouldn't that make Kean the perfect manager if you were planning an asset strip of the club
BRFC1995 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 take the bugger to court for trades description offences, don't pay him off, never a manager in a million years 28 league matches, lost the 2nd half 17 times...........how bad are his half time team talks
PAFELL Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Then wouldn't that make Kean the perfect manager if you were planning an asset strip of the club Correct. That is what I have been thinking for awhile. Corruption.
miqaayil Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Correct. That is what I have been thinking for awhile. Corruption. I'm thinking the same ... i think venky's are being held ransom , maybe incriminating evidence in kean's hands .... he says i'll leak to press if u sack me ... everything just defies logic and conspiracy theory comes in ...
Mc Love Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I say we will forgive them whatever it is, just as long as he is gone
