Roversi Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Playing a 20 year old lad out of position on his second appearance sounds like a decent idea to you? Playing a 17 year old centre back vs Chelsea worked did it not.

The Rover of Finland Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Has Lowe actually ever played RB? Why did we sign Ribeiro and gave him a long contract if he isn´t good enough to play?
Hekla Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Lowe is versatile from I've heard, we won't see this Bruno guy unless we have major injuries.
Herbie6590 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/blackburn-rovers/8769708/Blackburn-Rovers-v-Arsenal-Barcelona-reject-Ruben-Rochina-relishing-battle-for-every-point.html Interesting take on Rochina.......
Bobby G Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Vital that Dunn is fit as he has given bite and quality to CM alongside Nzonzi. Its early days but I think Petrovic is very similar to Nzonzi and as a partnership, its difficult for me to see them prosper. Big choice would be who plays up front today.
AggyBlue Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 http://www.telegraph...very-point.html Interesting take on Rochina....... Good read, I hope he plays today.
Pugg Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Crikey, how bitchy is everyone at the moment? It's only possible tactics and line ups! I've got an awful hangover and wish it was a later kick off so I could stay in bed a little longer lol. I'd go... Robinson Lowe Dann Samba Olsson Nzonzi Grella (or is he injured again) Hoillet Rochina Simon Yakubu Obviously depends if Lowe is half decent there.
TugaysMarlboro Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/blackburn-rovers/8769708/Blackburn-Rovers-v-Arsenal-Barcelona-reject-Ruben-Rochina-relishing-battle-for-every-point.html Interesting take on Rochina....... Really like the lad myself. Comes across very well for a young guy. But as he states, that's no doubt thanks to Barcelona and how they build you up as a person as well as a player. I think, given the chance, he'll be one of our brighter sparks this year. Think he has the talent and mental attitude to succeed. Hope he plays today.
Backroom Tom Posted September 17, 2011 Backroom Posted September 17, 2011 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/blackburn-rovers/8769708/Blackburn-Rovers-v-Arsenal-Barcelona-reject-Ruben-Rochina-relishing-battle-for-every-point.html Interesting take on Rochina....... Wow he comes across as a too guy with what it takes to succeed. Sounds like our training isn't quite as bad as was made out either!
grizfoot Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Playing a 20 year old lad out of position on his second appearance sounds like a decent idea to you? When the only alternative is a slow 35 year-old fullback who's been directly responsible for a couple of goal we've conceded this season and who struggles up against pacey wingers like the ones the Arsenal possess then yes. We really should have signed some adequate cover for this position as soon as it was apparent Emerton was leaving.
Nelsta Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Don't really know what to expect today, Arsenal just as desperate for a win as we are. Heart says 2-1 Rovers. Head says 0-4 Arsenal.Gervinho to rip us apart.
Andy Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 If things go our way, there is a chance we could take something, but realistically I think it'll be a heavy Arsenal win. If we concede a goal or two early, things could turn a bit nasty towards Mr Kean...
BuckyRover Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Wow he comes across as a too guy with what it takes to succeed. Sounds like our training isn't quite as bad as was made out either! I guess this means that Man Utd's training is much more intense than Barcelona's.
bennyboyt11 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 I've got a beer riding on this, come on you Blues!
BiggusLaddus Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 There is no excuse fo Barcelona's training to be less intense than Manchester United's. How can they hope to compete on the field if they are already off the pace before a ball is kicked. I bet they only train for an hour a day.
Nelsta Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Goodwillie failed fitness test, yak to start.
newfan Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Goodwillie failed fitness test, yak to start. is that good? and Roberts? really surprised if he dropped
Hekla Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Samba captain, happy with that. Good to see Lowe, in his best position. Hope this works today!
Lathund Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Robinson; Salgado, Samba ©, Dann, Givet; N'Zonzi, Lowe; Hoilett, Formica, Rochina; Yakubu Bench: Bunn, Olsson, Grella, Vukcevic, Petrovic, Roberts, Hanley
joey_big_nose Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 So:- -------------------Robinson Salgado---Dann---Samba----Givet Hoilett----Nzonzi----Lowe----Formica ------------------Rochina ------------------Yakubu Not too bad but I would probably have gone for Olsson ahead of Formica to give us some strength. Hope the fitness and the shape have improved. For this side to be effective we are going to need to be very disciplined without the ball.... Praying that Yakubu will look the part!
