Backroom Tom Posted October 26, 2011 Backroom Posted October 26, 2011 Won in the last min of extra time, Givet Smug time for Kean, he'll ignore that we were 2-0 up going into injury time. Glad for the fans that went down.

bannedwidth Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 4-3 winner in the last minute but I feel no joy. I'm done.
Finch Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Phil Thompson is very excited. What are the odds we get Chelsea in the next round?
RibbleValleyRover Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Kean gets the win and gets the chance to grin as much as possible. But the simple fact is we have seen tonight why Rovers won't survive under Kean.
Derbyshire Blue Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 No , just a load of fan's who know Kean can't manage a drink never mind a PL team. Lets put most of our first choice 11 out for a meaningless cup game when we need all the points we can in the league. Yeah we might get to Wembley - you ask a Brummie if they would rather be in the Prem than Europe. I will tell you now they would hand over their passport without question. I just love seeing and hearing about Rovers doing well and get excited about it, you probably weren't at Willington
Lurid Coat Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Wonder what garbage Kean will come out with after this one. Bet he'll get a lifetime contract after a win that meant f*** all in the grand scheme of things.

Backroom Tom Posted October 26, 2011 Backroom Posted October 26, 2011 Good win on the night but Kean out, Givet looks dead on his feet exactly what we don't need ahead of Saturday. At least it would have been brilliant for the lads and lasses who went on. Please none of the smug rubbish Kean.
beerwins Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 As much as I would never knowingly want us to lose that result has probably just got us relegated. I just hope that the win can spark the team into getting some results in the league where we really need wins.
sijoco Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I just love seeing and hearing about Rovers doing well and get excited about it, you probably weren't at Willington Go on i'll bite, despite being born and brought up within 10 miles of Ewood for all my life. What's Willington?
Amo Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Great result for Kean. End-to-end action, plenty of goals, and into the quarter-finals of a cup. Venky's will be creaming themselves over this and scoffing at those ingrate protesters.
roverandout Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 was at the game, left 3 mins before the end of normal time, gutted!!! typical kean to make sure i dont get my money's worth.
BuckyRover Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Good result against a Premiership team. But we really need to beat Norwich. Also in a Prem game it would have been a terrible 2-2 draw.
riverside returns Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 willington town was a first round cup tie I think we played in around 1973 at the time of the power cuts.
Steve Moss Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Is it right that Newcastle had 62% possession? I fear that this will buy Kean even more time as the owners don't appear to understand the difference between cup matches and league play. All in all, despite my misgiving as to how Kean will spin this, it was a good result for the team coming off a competitive weekend match. Hopefully they'll be fired up for Saturday.
booth Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Well he almost cocked up another one. When will the owners realize he's our weak link in the team?
ruggles1995 Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Pleased but not delusioned!! happy we won but facts are we couldn't keep a clean sheet, cant win in 90 minutes at home, cant close out a 2-0 lead with minutes to go, and worst of all at home and had %30 possession... Kean has ALOT to improve so he best not keep that stupid grin on his face for too long. 3 points Saturday and I might even feel happy for a bit.
benhben Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Did we really only have 30 possession as bbc reports?
