BPF Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Its called SUPPORTING your team...its about the team you support through thick and thin, not just when glory is around.....try it sometime muppet! :!: The problem I have with that is the definition of 'your team'. The problem for me is that it doesn't feel like my team anymore. The club doesn't care about us anymore...
cn174 Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 can you buy tickets before the game at Ewood Park??? was going to miss it but want to go now yes
riggers77 Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 No. What you are finding is that there are people who do not agree with your black and white assumption that a low crowd on a CC game will mean the manager is sacked - nothing at all to do with "courage" or not wanting Kean out. The fans protest has seemingly had no impact, except to make Mrs D dig her heels in. A no show on a cold Wednesday will, imho, have little or no impact either. Really annoys me those who think they have the right to tell others how to be fans. I won't be telling anyone else on here to attend, or not attend, because it's a personal choice. At the end of the day I go to support Blackburn Rovers - as I have done before, during and after Kean's reign. I didn't say low crowd will get him sacked. A boycott means no crowd. And I think u would find that if no rovers fans went at all then he would be sacked immediately. I have not told anyone how to be a fan. I have told if you want kean sacked then you have to not go. As you say the protests have had seemingly little impact so the only way to make an impact is a money impact. It has everything to do with courage. For all anti kean supporters if it is 99% then making a small sacrifice would be for the greater good. Support that borders on addiction does the club no favours at all. Brilliant
mcphee7 Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Last time the police closed off all the gates and 2 cars went to the front door so nobody could get near. As for not attending....no chance - im there, no matter who the manager is or the owner, what league we are in or whether its just me and my mate! COME ON YOU BLUES!!! Tickets on sale on the night - make the effort lads. A quarter final place is up for grabs. Newcastle had already sold out their 3000 but more on sale on night for them. Its called SUPPORTING your team...its about the team you support through thick and thin, not just when glory is around.....try it sometime muppet! :!: In the UK - I hope not....some fans dont deserve it! And herein lies the problem. So long as there are people like you who cannot see the wood for the trees, there will always be another Steve Kean to say "the supporters are with us" Sucker. Are you one of these who spouts the same rhetoric about people not being true supporters because they decide to not follow the blind sheep like yourself? Beleive me mate I have supported Rovers since I was a youngster and more often than not as a Rovers supporter you have to do it through the thin times. This is more than a thin time though isn't it? I don't know who I support anymore. They still wear blue and white, they play at the same park and they still serve up expensive chips but something is not right. In the past poor managers have held their hands up and said they got it wrong, they have said "sorry" on behalf of the players, the backroom staff and their own judgements. What they haven't done is stick their middle finger up at the fans and treat them like they are stupid like coco is now. It's not about "supporting the team". It's about not supporting the clowns that are sucking off the lifeblood of a club. The fans.
Ste B Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 We can do it he cant run away that easily unless he was under ground, something needs to be done tonight. Maybe we need the school holidays to end. Good luck to the lads, hope they win and Kean gets punched in the face. You arent seriously expecting not not kop a ban for that are you ? :D :D You also need to be careful.
grizfoot Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I'll be attending tonight, don't see how boycotting the game will have any impact whatsoever. The revenue for these sort of game isn't exactly great anyway. But if some people are to pained by the recent events at the club I can somewhat understand not wanting to attend tonight's game. Carling Cup nights don't tend to be that glamorous anyway, but I do enjoy the break from the harsh reality of the league. The first ten minutes against Sheffield Wednesday saw the best pieces of football played at Ewood all season. Also looking forward to seeing Rochina in action again, he's looked really good in our Carling Cup campaign so far but the jury is still out on whether he can make it as Premier League regular. That being said the lad's definitely got talent and is one of the few exciting players we currently possess.
Mercer Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Passed Ewood about 5.45 and plenty of Geordies knocking about, doubt if some will get in as already p1ssed as f@rts! Heading down in next 10 minutes or so when my Geordie 'guests' arrive, otherwise would definitely be boycotting tonight. Expect us to lose tonight with Kean already lining-up his excuses: 3 matches in six days, injuries and suspensions biting and would he dare say a low home support outsung and outnumbered by the Geordies !!!!!
Plastic Head Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Its called SUPPORTING your team...its about the team you support through thick and thin, not just when glory is around.....try it sometime muppet! :!: In the UK - I hope not....some fans dont deserve it! There's a difference between supporting your team and supporting your club. You can do one without the other, or both. If you want to go to the game and then forget about the politics that's up to you but don't decry anyone who is willing to put their head in the water and see what is actually going on under the water.

roverwhelmed Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 I can't make it tonight as I'm in London all week, but will be cheering the lads on. Going for a cheeky 1-0 win.

Backroom Tom Posted October 26, 2011 Backroom Posted October 26, 2011 Resting roberts for Norwich no doubt
rebelmswar Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Resting roberts for Norwich no doubt Most depressing six words I have read for awhile. Tragic really.
gazsimm Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 That's a stronger team than I was expecting. god help us if we loose Samba or junior to injury tonight. Kean is picking a strong line up to try and make sure we win this game and get the fans of his back, i rather us loose tonight and pick up some much needed 3 points at Norwich on Saturday!
alexanders Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Most depressing six words I have read for awhile. Tragic really. Hahaha. Sad indication of reality.
hesfromburn Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Geordies look like the home fans for numbers & noise - this is embarassing!
Stuart Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Three thousand Geordies giving abuse to 3 Rovers fans at lower tier of JW stand. 3 Rovers fans give a tiny bit of stick back at them. Steward comes over and asks 3 Rovers fans to move. This club is really starting to ###### me off.
beerwins Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Is that Nicko on Radio Lancashire? Never mind.... it was, came across very well.
chris Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Are Newcastle full strength I have no idea about any of their players other then Ba, can't even remember from the last game, can't believe they are doing so well.
Oklahoma Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Hope we win this but I'm not very confident. Funny that, once again, the goalscorer from the previous game is on the bench.
wandel77 Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Word is that Toon have 4000 fans at Ewood Park and Blackburn have only 2000

I was once in a game and the other team organized group of supporters kept insulting me. The only response from the police was telling me not to answer to the insults.
