King Kenny's Magic Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Only in Venky's world can Kean the Kean up be rewarded wih an improved contract for nothing but FAILURE and the wanton destruction of everything BRFC stood for. It's like giving your dog a biscuit if it kean's on the carpet.
John Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Never got the job on merit therefore to award him an improved/new contract at this stage, taking into account his record, is simply the ultimate insult.
Rovers_786 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I believe Mr. Kean is going to India during the international break, so if we can bombard Venkys with our displeasure during the next week or so maybe just maybe they will finally dothe right thing and get rid of this leech. Keep up the pressure
Mike Graham Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I had a chat over a quiet pint last night in the Cavendish Arms with a football agent who has just moved into the area (Brindle), he has some ex-Rovers (Premiership) players on his books. He told me, as he knows I am a Rovers fan, without any prompting that: 1. Kean has signed a new contract; 2. The Venkys do not believe that they should advise the fans, it is a private matter for them to decide, and; 3. Kean is on 50% the salary of Big Sam. The final point suggests that they cannot afford, or do not want to spend on, an established manager.
Mattyblue Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 That was my thought PB, he's already signed it but they are not going to announce it.

Glenn Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I am off to Euro Disney this weekend and whilst I am there I am going see to see about joining the Mickey Mouse Club as this lot are quickly turning my football club into just that!!! It was noted when the LT photographed the Pune9 at Manchester Airport. One of them (naming no names) was wearing a "Mickey Mouse Club" T-Shirt.

davulsukur Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 PaulPlunkett66 Paul Plunkett Talks to improve Steve Kean's contract at Blackburn Rovers have started (via @CryerRovers) Anyone care to elaborate on how he has earnt an improved contract?
Mattyblue Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 PaulPlunkett66 Paul Plunkett Talks to improve Steve Kean's contract at Blackburn Rovers have started (via @CryerRovers) The club absolutely stinks. Disgrace.
Hughesy Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I think it's Wierd that they are looking to 'improve' his current terms, NOT extend it. Nicko has to be right on the 'remove a clause which makes him cheaper to sack' stuff.

Jimmy612 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Unfortunately I take my younger cousin to the games, don't know what to do with my season ticket. May well send it back. Venkys are p*ssing up our legs, and I can't bear that snide, slimy, backstabbing man or his fork tongued master. Livid
Hughesy Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Why would he agree to that though? Extra wonga in his weekly packet?? And perhaps a gaurantee of at least another x number of games?
forumquizmaster Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I had a chat over a quiet pint last night in the Cavendish Arms with a football agent who has just moved into the area (Brindle), he has some ex-Rovers (Premiership) players on his books. I'm not doubting you were told this PB, any more than I doubt you were told about the major announcement by the person you bought your Rovers Return ticket from at Ewood, but there are some major flaws in the guy's story. 1. A random football agent 'knows' that Kean has signed a new contract - yet there's still hardly anything in the press about it....doesn't seem credible. 2. If this were true, why have they mentioned anything about it at all, denials etc? Sounds like speculation to me. 3. By all accounts Kean is actually on much less than half the salary Allardyce was on. This will be especially true if they both had bonuses built in for staying in the Prem. Sam collected on his, Kean won't.
sijoco Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Talks Held with Kean over an Improved Deal !!?? LET Link
davulsukur Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Complete madness that a deal is even being talked about. His job should be hanging by a thread as it is.
chris Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 but what if Venkys are asking for release clauses should he not meet targets? He almost promised them top 10, so they must be very disappointed in him. or maybe saying, we have faith in you but if you don't deliever on your promises you must leave. If they were REALLY backing him they would extend his contract, not change the current terms.
Rovers_786 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Venky would not allow their investment get trashed under kean ,so I guess there looking at a clause in his deal.
rebelmswar Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 To be frank, and this will all be clear in time, this is now like Hitler promoting someone to Reichsmarchel on the 1st of May 1945.
alexanders Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 What about they say: "OK, if you are so sure about yourself and turning the corner we will give you this". We rise your p/w, but we install a figure of silch if we sack you!"
eire3382 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 How do these people have a business if the handle failure like this. It makes no bloody sense giving this fool a new contract. Surely this will drive the entire fan base to protest. Those against the protest does this change your mind?
