Joar Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Expecting crap defending for the rest of the match, and a Villa goal 3 mins on overtime
sam_rovers Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Why dont we have players in the box.. its 3 minutes into added time and we are trying to go for a winner... ridiculous stuff
LeChuck Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Why couldn't we have played like that in first half? Kean has to stop picking Petrovic. It just shows how important experience is. Our three most important players in that second half were Dunn, Pedersen and Robinson. I'd put Hanley in there too to be fair, he was immense. I hope Dann is ashamed that he needs a 20 year alongside him to carry him through games - hopefully Givet can take his place for the remainder of the season. Fair play to Orr, he was excellent in the second half (not just the cross). If ever the old cliché "a game of two halves" was applicable, it was here.
hesfromburn Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Much better second half!! Night and day! Haha just seen a "mcleaish out" banner!!
Joar Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Still convinced we're going down... The only two teams worse than Rovers are the two teams below us on the table
Rover Down Under Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Was that a "Mcleish out" flag I just saw? Don't suppose we will see any slagging of Villa fans will we?
blue_n_white99 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 The Dingles are getting beat 3 - 2, this Saturday is definitely improving
Clitherover Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Talk about a Jekyll and Hyde performance, if you'd have asked me whether we could get a point at half time I would have laughed.
The Dart Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Coco must realise that a clean sheet today = 3 points, but I doubt it.
Mercer Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Got out of jail after that first half performance but deserved the point after second half performance - whether that will prove enough is another issue. Robbo superb, Hanley excellent and a Dunny cameo. Frightening thing is that Kean got it so badly wrong in first half.
rovers11 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Decent point. Didn't really gain anything but didn't lose any ground either. Very poor result for QPR again considering their run in, shocking result for wigan, Bolton got an expected loss. Good day for Wolves.
AllRoverAsia Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I wonder who gave the half-time team talk. Robbo, Dunn or Coco?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 We need WINS ffs!! Why so poor in first half? why cant we make progress when sides around us drop points?....ominous signs. We bumble on.
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Not a terrible result. Considering the results around us, it was imperative to get something. We looked ok in the second half. The Olsson's looked fairly handy and Nzonzi did well.
yellowsubmarine Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Really frustrating because why didnt we play like this in the first half? Bad move to start Petrovic and Formica. No pace between them at all.
G Somerset Rover Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I think one thing we can be certain of at Rovers right now is that Radosav Petrovic is not on a match fee bonus like Salgado et al.
rovers11 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 We need WINS ffs!! Why so poor in first half? why cant we make progress when sides around us drop points?....ominous signs. We bumble on. The reason we are down there is because we can't get wins and take advantage of other sides results. Why? Because we don't have enough quality (on and off the pitch).
pick32 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Robbo was amazing and the extra training with Nzonzi is really paying off he looks world class. Tough decision for the manager with givet and lowe returning do you drop Hanley?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 ''TAKE THE POSITIVES AND KICK ON'' Yes,Teflon has just said it!
LeChuck Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Really frustrating because why didnt we play like this in the first half? Bad move to start Petrovic and Formica. No pace between them at all. Pace wasn't the problem. Pedersen and Dunn took their roles in the second half and neither of them have pace. Still not sure about Marcus Olsson. He's quick and has a reasonable touch but he rarely threatens to have any end product, and he's not up to speed with decision making at the moment. Having said that, his pace alone stretched Villa a bit. Robbo was amazing and the extra training with Nzonzi is really paying off he looks world class. Tough decision for the manager with givet and lowe returning do you drop Hanley? Why is it a tough decision? Drop Dann and Petrovic, both are horrendously bad.
Backroom DE. Posted March 3, 2012 Backroom Posted March 3, 2012 Still not sure about Marcus Olsson. He's quick and has a reasonable touch but he rarely threatens to have any end product, and he's not up to speed with decision making at the moment. Having said that, his pace alone stretched Villa a bit. To be fair, considering where he's come from, he's doing OK. He already looks better than Petrovic who's had months to adjust.
