Nzonzi off?

Derbyshire was history the minute he decided to pass a stupid nothing pass into no mans land rather than just run the ball down to the far corner flag.

Let me remind you- we were hanging on to a 2-1 lead against Man City at Ewood, the ball breaks kindly for us out on the right hand side, Derbyshire gathers the ball with about 10 seconds left on the clock, he sets off down field with ALL the field to run into. He goes about 15 yards and then decides to pass the ball back into midfield to nobody in particular for no particular reason, we lose the ball, city move it out wide and then back into the middle, Robinho slots it home, ref blows his whistle and 3 points have just turned into 1.

Brain dead muppet.

You might have missed the point. It was claimed that Dunn, Derbyshire & Gally despite being Rovers fans couldn't wait to get away.

Matty wanted to stay not get shipped out. As you say he might not have been good enough or a specific incident lead to him leaving, but that wasn't the argument a few pages back - more he was a faux supporter.

I would think that we simply realise that we don't need any more central midfielders. We are overstocked in that position and there is no reason to sell N'Zonzi on the cheap just so that we can replace him with a 3rd/4th choice.

If he does stay, which looks quite likely now, it will be interesting to see how all of this is dealt with.
