Hughesy Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Thought the vote was just either they all agree or no action, regardless of majority vote.
Torgeir Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 My stab: Someone's pulling the strings telling people how to act. Balaji vs Mrs D might have been a made up argument to save face. Latest meeting probably on how to solve the current 'dilemma' with the angry fans - trying to shift the roles around but making sure everyone on board still has the same influence. Buy some time. If they can last this summer's fire sales then they'll be happy to take their money and leave the club behind. In all of this I wonder what some of the more experienced players feel about the situation. Givet, Robinson and MGP have been professional athletes for years - would like to get their input on the situation although it's highly unlikely that it will happen.
bryan nelsen Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Thought the vote was just either they all agree or no action, regardless of majority vote. Exactly. How the heck can a business run properly if all parties arent pulling in the same direction? Hence, the situation we find ourselves in. Corrupt.
Mattyblue Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 That 'someone' is Jerome Anderson. This last week has just been another sham.
philipl Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Yes Mr and Mrs D are at odds with the brothers over selling the club and keeping Kean. They remained at loggerheads through both meetings in Pune involving Kean. However, at one point Kean was to be sacked (those stories WERE true at that time) but following phone calls with people outside of VH, Mrs D went back progressively. There are now expectations in some quarters that Kean will be sacked on Wednesday. At this point I have no reason to believe that speculation. I think Kean and co have weathered the storm and are inch by inch hauling themselves into the brighouse. The family rules require unanimity on major decisions. In the absence of unanimity, the status quo holds ie Kean stays and club not sold. I am beginning to think selling the club is more likely than Kean leaving the employ of Venky's/Rovers 100%. Mrs D is the senior person in terms of running things so although it needs all four to vote on massive decisions, her writ holds sway on all the day-to-day stuff.

After their alleged initial argument around Christmas, Mrs. D is keeping Kean just to p!ss off Balaji. Eventually she will tire him out and he will agree to sell. Some power struggle...
bryan nelsen Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 It's starting to feel like this forum is completely detached from reality, because the whole situation is becoming so far fetched, it just doesn't seem real anymore. It certainly doesn't feel like a "club" anymore. I am far from intelligent, so I wouldn't even consider getting involved in some of these topics, I just don't know enough. It's just so sad to see the more intelligent among us, have to regularly post on matters that quite frankly, shouldn't have even touched a football club. The whole thing couldn't be any further away from football if it tried. I have kids who are looking forward to every minute of next season. It's a seedy World I'd rather keep them away from. Steve Keans future set to be discussed shouldn't have even made the topic stage. What a corrupt shambles we have become.

davulsukur Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Is it just a rip of the daily mail article that it mentions?
Pedro Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 In 30 years from now we shall all be reading the book about what really happened here...I wonder who will play Steve Kean in the movie... Humpty Dumpty? Something I do not get. If all four venkys are equal owners. Each with a 25% share. How come ONE has all the power. If 3 say sack Kean and one says no, how come the sole vote carries the day? I am also surprised that a women hold s the power over blokes in their culture - always thought it was the other way round. Unless of course, they are only a front and do not own the club. Two of them are married, I'd imagine they'd agree with each other or Poppa Desai aint getting mommas pootay tonight. ...and I've just been sick in my mouth.
ruggles1995 Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 it does certainly feel weird. I didnt think that I would ever get to a point in my life were I want my team to loose. Its like i now want for mysery on blackburn (this is while Keans at the club). Horrible, if keans in charge next season and fans run onto the pitch again and actually get a chance to do something to him, in all honesty you wouldnt blame them, or feel sorry for Kean. People talk about over stepping a line and how its some ones life, well sorry but in this country football for alot of fans is most of peoples life, its what we live for, and there taking it away from us rovers fans and dangling it in our faces. I think if there was ever a time to over step the line, then its already time.

And hell still not sure it is really a woman afterall in the official Venkys London Ltd companies house registration Anuradha (aka Arnold Rimmer) is apparently a bloke.
Veevs Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 THEY have become/always were completely barmy.. Corrected, it is the only actual logical reasoning left.. after all as someone else pointed out, when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth... so the truth is we have the Red Dwarf team running Rovers from one train wreck to the next because this really is like a worse case VR simulation (with Humorous charectors thrown in for good measure) to me.

miqaayil Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Do they have phones and the Internet in India? nope still using piegons sorry man ...couldn't resist
AllRoverAsia Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Yeah vote is apparently all four but then it's not really one though is it.. Mrs D, her TWO brothers.. and ? The one who's lost his pants. nope still using piegons sorry man ...couldn't resist The rumour is they are chickens trained as pigeons - that's why no news leaves Pune!

Stuart Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 As I understand it, their father's will stipulated the requirement for unanimity and put Mrs D in the driving seat for running the show day-to-day. So why don't they have a vote on keeping him? They all can't agree, so he's a gonner. It's either that or rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock?
T.J.Newton Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Unless of course, they are only a front and do not own the club. I dont think their is any question over them owning the club(on paper!), but i think we all know who is running the club and who is making the most money out of the club.
CAPT KAYOS Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 So why don't they have a vote on keeping him? They all can't agree, so he's a gonner. This is along the lines I was thinking of, but then again it shouldn't even have to come to this. So despite what ever skullduggery people think is going on or who is playing who, the loons position as manager is quite evidently untenable no matter what. That should be the be all that he (it?) cannot continue, unless as some have proposed, the loon is part control of the whole mess or it does come down to 1 idiots decision.
