philipl Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 Memories of 1975. Getting to the Baseball Ground when we were in the 3rd Division. Charlie George making it 3-1 to them after Faz had smacked one in for us with a massive deflection.
Backroom Tom Posted January 6, 2013 Backroom Posted January 6, 2013 Terribly dull draw but winnable I suppose

One memory from me on that , was 9 went with my Aunt, Uncle, cousins and Grandad,, very car sick , puked up just outside Derby and stunk of sick all way through game
philipl Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 Was at Hull University. Went to the bus stop to catch a bus down to Paragon Station and there were three other Rovers supporters at the stop!
Ben-2000 Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Was it around 2001 when we went there and won 5-2? Think it was a replay.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Crap draw but we've got a reasonable chance.
LDRover Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I remember us drawing them previously at the old Baseball ground. Always remember the pitch was totally bare, not a blade of grass on it. We lost that game 3-1 and our goal was a Colin Todd og. Not sure what year it was but I'm thinking 77, 78 or 79?
Stuart Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 3-1 to them after Faz had smacked one in for us with a massive deflection.Glass half full.We lost that game 3-1 and our goal was a Colin Todd og.Glass half empty.BRFCS messageboard distilled into two posts.
LDRover Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Glass half full.Glass half empty. BRFCS messageboard distilled into two posts. Quite possibly!! I'm sure it was given as a Todd og tho officially, that is if we're talking about the same game. Can't have been 75 as I'd have only been 3.

Didn't know what to think.
92er Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 The match was played Feb 26th, 1977. Thanks to Mike Jackman.
LDRover Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Yeah, just checked on wiki. It was a 5th round game as well. Funny how the same non -league teams kept cropping up in those days. Teams like Blyth Spartans and Matlock.

Stuart Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Good old Suarez. He may be a great player but his football integrity is shot to kean. I completely forgot it was Suarez who cheated Ghana out of the the World Cup finals in 2010. He just can't help himself can he. And against Mansfield. Poor.
roverandout Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 i was at the derby game at pride park when we won there in the fa cup, we were first division and i think they were in the prem
philipl Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 I was at Hull '74-'77. My recollection was we were still 3rd Division but we would have been 2nd Division.
