Backroom Tom Posted January 11, 2014 Backroom Posted January 11, 2014 Experienced many play off matches with Rovers involved Tom? If you had you'd not be mocking Abbeys point I'd wager. Just the one and it was a very happy one I fully understand his point and would hate a rovers Burnley play off meet it was just a gentle rib

Salgado Is A Hero Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Forgive me but I forgot how really close we were to the playoffs! Could go 6th? I could have sworn we were further away. Yea we've won 3 out of the last 5 I think. It's always really close around mid-table so a couple wins usually puts you right in the mix
The Rover of Finland Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 This is the kind of game we've struggled with recently. They will come here to defend and hope to hit us on the break or from a set piece. The onus is on us to break them down which we have found difficult this season. There have also been times this season where we have had some great results and on a real high and then our next game is an `easy` one but come up short. That is the situation we find today, off the back of two excellent performances and result and now go into a game we should win. We're inconsistent so I'm going for a draw/loss today. Rhodes will score today though. He won't have liked being rested against City so will be well up for this one to send a "don't rest me again" message to GB. For me Dunn is the key today. Without him we really have missed points at home in matches like today. Lowe and Williamson would be a stupid by GB and really hope he sees that too.
CapeTownRover Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Wednesday thrashing that nasty Leeds bunch, so already a good result for us. we just need to get 3 points today, and doesnt matter how we do, or by how many goals. ill take 1-0 now
Salgado Is A Hero Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 ROVERS: Robinson, Henley, Dann, Hanley, Spurr, Cairney, Lowe, Williamson, Marshall, Rhodes, Gestede Subs: Eastwood, Kilgallon, Dunn, Campbell, Taylor, Rochina, Morris Taylor picked up a knock in training and is only on the bench. Whilst King also sustained an injury in training and misses out. So unless Rochina or Morris plays on the wing, it had to be Cairney. I just hope he changes it if it isn't working.
Backroom Mike E Posted January 11, 2014 Backroom Posted January 11, 2014 Could interpret that as 4-3-3 with Marshall up top in DJ's place.
Bundesburn Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I hope dropping Taylor for Lowe doesn't play out to be the particularly daft move it looks like on paper. Just noticed Robbo starting. Good to see!
Backroom Tom Posted January 11, 2014 Backroom Posted January 11, 2014 We went at Leeds and won why not do the same at home? Campbell in for Williamson would have been more dynamic Still I'm usually wrong anyway but on paper that's still easily strong enough to win this
OJRovers Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Taylor partly injured otherwise he probably would've played.
West Yorks Rover Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Looks like he's going for the long-ball game today !
The Rover of Finland Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 So Lowe and Williamson are there both. Very disappointing. 1-1
neophox Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Well I Think this could be a marvellous game for Rovers if Gestede and Rhodes can combine....
Backroom Tom Posted January 11, 2014 Backroom Posted January 11, 2014 Shame we let judge go this week as he would probably have had a chance today
neophox Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 The positive is that we have Dunn, Campbell and Rochina on bench and thats some creativity if first half doesn't work.
EWOODACE1 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Disappointing midfield line up. Let's hope it works out. We usually look below average with those 2 playing together. Strangely we concede more with those 2 defensive midfielders

Bucksrover Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Just arrived, seen the team, lowe and williamson was my only groan. I had hoped the first half against brum was the last time i would see that pairing. Taylor looks fine warming up. Bowyer's blind-spot strikes again. Lets hope we win despite it
Neal Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 How can anyone contemplate not playing your game player ??? Rhodes scores goals . You need goals to win, Read the post Abbey. I said we should play the same team as against Leeds.
Stuart Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Anyone deny that Lowe is Bowyer's golden boy? Push our most positive player (apart from Dunn) out of his best position to accommodate out most negative one. People were talking about how Rhodes gets his place back, why does Lowe walk straight back into his? Disappointed but not surprised. Seems to me Bowyer's season plan is to keep us in touch and try to snatch 6th on the final day. Let's hope it works because we have no choice but to hope for the best.
OJRovers Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Bit harsh on Lowe who I thought played really well against City - if anyone deserved to be left out it is Williamson.
beanie Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Not having a go at Willo or Lowe but after two MOTM performances in the center of the park Cairney is shoved wide to fit in two defensive midfielders is odd to say the least this is the type of game where we should be going for it .
