Thread for those still interested

Dad and lads day out for me, not often the three of us get to a game together.

We are supposed to be fielding two separate teams, one for each game.

With Hanley and Wes Brown taking no part today and Duffy & Evans not back at the club until Monday, the center back pairings will be interesting.

ROVERS vs Bury: Steele, Lowe, Ward, Magloire, Doyle, Bennett, Akpan, Guthrie, Mahoney, O'Sullivan, Graham.

ROVERS vs Morecambe: Raya, Henley, Nyambe, Wharton, Hendrie, Feeney, Byrne, Lenihan, Conway, Marshall, Stokes.

Tyler Magloire is a 17-year-old centre-back who is about to start his second season with #rovers' Academy.

Trialist Faissal El Bakhtaoui will be a substitute for both games.

Rovers captain Grant Hanley will play no part today due to the knee injury he picked up in Austria last week.

Tyler Magloire looked a prospect the one time I saw him but it's very early days for him to be included

When we were in the prem we could justify these play 2 lower league teams in one day as probably had 3 teams worth of better players. These days we're more or less similar quality to likes of bury and morecambe. Perhaps we should be playing someone else's reserves.

Its probably not a bad idea gviing him a game today. If he does ok brilliant, if not he has made up the numbers and saves me from cleaning my boots and giving it a go.

Any radio coverage of the games today? Seen a couple of places saying live streams available LEGALLY on bet 365 for both v Bury and v Morecambe but neither listings showing on bet365 au yet

What's the centre back pairing at Morecambe?

Chaddy has posted the team's just above DGS. Ward and a 17 year old Magloire in the first game and Nyambe and Wharton in the second game

According to Chaddy the kid And Ward are at Bury. I'm presuming Hendrie is filling in next to Wharton at Morecambe?

I was presuming Nyambe with Hendrie at LB (based purely on the lad's size and nothing else)

Maybe Lenihan? (Although that means we bring a wide man into central midfield)

This could be a prelude to the forthcoming season!

Not conceded in first 3 friendlies then. Forget what the venkys continue to do. There'll be queues for season tickets right down Nuttall street now. Or maybe not.

Don't get to excited by the clean sheets. Bury and Morecambe had no punch up front, and cant exactly say Rovers had much up front as well. There again both Rovers teams were a mixed bag of youth and first teamers.
