Seemed to be regular's when the club reduced ST's (slightly) on the basis of there recommendation.

That was announcement made by the club regarding ST prices which is major announcement in the Rovers fans world hence why he was around.

I presumed it’s because WATR and brfcs are no in partnership as much as anything... which is still poor comms for me as surely this place should be a key part of any stakeholder management/comms plan.

Totally agree, BRFCS may not be a majority group within the wider fanbase but it's certainly one of the most dedicated and possibly more objective groups.

Why did this arrangement come to an end?

I've just seen WATR have released a statement via the LET on season tickets, which I think is strong and good work: https://x.com/_ElliottJackson/status/1861001890672390312 - although it does slightly contradict the messaging at the start of the season, which was that this years pricing was a success and due (in part) to their influence with Waggott. 

I haven't received the e-mail you've mentioned however. The only e-mail I've had is that my membership is due to be renewed. I also can't see anything official on the website under News and Resource on the statement: https://www.roverstrust.com/

WATR sponsored BRFCS at a secondary level (i.e. not the main sponsors) and in return their logo was included within the front page and match centre as well as their thread was one of our five-pinned threads so they could communicate with the BRFCS membership.

The sponsorship lapsed earlier this year as WATR where exploring other options. So the thread is still here and everyone is welcome to post (I'd recommend it too, but thats another story). We've since replaced their sponsorship with power league.

Yes I have just read the statement and I think its sort of the right approach and Rovers serious need to look at the price of the half season ticket(which is ridiculous tbh). 

I think the price of this season ticket was good for young children and I think the Adult price was £50 pound too high but I also think they should have kept the same price all summer. until September. The lack of media advert or advertising it around Blackburn/Darwen area is a problem,

I haven't receive an Email for the WATR since start of October with the newsletter. I get they will be work going on in the background that we aren't aware off. 

on next season ticket price, we need to adult price to £299 for BBE and Lower Jack Walker stand. I agree that the Riverside stand need reduced. Maybe to £199 tbh. Jack Walker upper wings to £349 and central £379. Dropped the phase thing and just have one price all summer. I would like to see them on sale from start of April.

All clubs seem to do some kind of early bird, marketing BS, but it is what it is.

However, that phase 3 nonsense which will obviously put off any potential buyer in the couple of weeks in the run up to the season when folk are getting into football mode again, or if we won a couple of early games and there’s a bit of a buzz around the place.

Can anybody explain the rationale of that apart from actively trying to put potential customers off?

They're trying to get as much money in early as there's no income, as opposed to the start of the season when they start getting away sales and tv money.

As ever with these gobshytes in charge,what we need and what we get are two different matters.The Club may well be financially on its arse next Season so any ticket reduction is very much wishful thinking I fear.

as its our 150 year anniversary next season why not £150 for a season ticket i am sure they would double this season tally or thats to cheap for them £187.50 be forward thinking for once and do something different

J*B's pricing plan:
 

1) All adults are priced at £230, anywhere but the JW central upper. Use Klarna as the credit supplier (so it's more easily accessible) and offer payment terms of: Upfront, spread across 3 months (£77 a month) or and payable over 12-months from 1st August at £19.20 a month.

2) The price doesn't change and season tickets are taken off sale on the 2nd August.

3) The season ticket prices are announced at the last game of the season, 26th April and are available to buy from the 27th April

4) U23's and any full time students pay 75% of an adult ticket (£172.50)

5) U18s pay 60% (£138)

6) U12s pay £57.50 (£2.50 / game)

7) U8s go free

8.) The Ewood Experience starts 4 hours before kick off, every home game. It's scheduled as (based on 3pm kick off):

11:00 - 12:00: £2.50 pints at The Blues Bar

12:00 - 13:00: Street Food Vendors, Early KO played on all screens, access to BBE lower concourse for all ticketed fans to watch the game

13:00 - 14:00: Live Music, former player interviews outside the BBE, 20% off at Rovers Store

14:00 - 15:00: Pre-match build up played across all screens, £3 pints at all vendors, Live Music

I get phase 1 and 2, they all do it and we certainly want cash flow.

But phase 3 stops a potential latecomer getting one full stop, surely a little bit of extra cash in August is better than none at all.

I think the intention is to scare phase 3 considerers into buying in phase 1 or 2.

I think you’re right - and I think that tells us exactly how they view the fans.

And shows they have zero understanding of fanbases and how they are made up of differing types of fans with diverse behaviours and what drives sales at varying times of a summer.

I.e. some pay no attention to early birds etc, they just make a late decision to buy on the back of a positive vibe, some good late signings, two early wins… but it’s pushing 500 quid? Err, no thanks!

Flexi tickets for those more than 25 miles away is odd, in my opinion. And the statement doesn't headline the biggest issues in my opinion - they’re too bloody expensive!

Where any Trust members consulted on their views? Interested to see exactly whose conclusions and/or opinions are included here. I know I haven’t been asked.

I’d imagine it’s largely the ideas of Miller and the WATR committee, as I’m sure I’ve remembered him posting those ideas on here in the past (and in the WATR Prospectus from last year).
